Review summary

To sum up this cruise, if we had cruised on MSC Seaview, with this itinerary first, we would never have chosen to cruise MSC in the United States. The service in the U.S. is so much better.

Embarkation

Disorganized and chaotic.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
We're American, and we cruised in the Yacht Club. All of the food was terrible! There were no selections for our taste.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Our son enjoyed the waterslides.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
There were no shows that we wanted to attend.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Our son visited the teens club a few times, but he said there wasn't much to do.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Agung I Dewa and Glenda Jayson were our butlers. They were nice and courteous and responded if needed. They did a great job. Alan was our server in the Yacht Club Restaurant, he was excellent every night. We found one bar that we liked, not in the Yacht club, on deck 16; the bartenders were Jessica Coelho, Joao Maciel and Zied Abdoolrahaman. This was the best service received on this cruise! They make a perfect team! We felt so welcomed by them, and we really connected. We will miss them, and hope to see them again!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
We've cruised on the sister ship, Seaside, a couple of times. The layout was familiar, if not as well maintained as the Seaside. Also, there was supposed to be priority elevator use, this feature never worked. This is one of the best perks of the Yacht Club. Very disappointed.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The toilet in our cabin kept getting stopped up. The wash cloths were threadbare. For the class we were sailing, the amenities should have been better.
