Review summary

My very first 2 cruises were on Carnival, followed by 17 with Royal Caribbean and the this cruise… which has to be my less favorite. I didn’t like anything about this cruise. Constant long lines everywhere, horrible food, the private island didn’t have adequate chairs and umbrellas and of course, long lines for the only one buffet they have and long waits at bars. This company fails to comparison. If you want a cheap, substandard cruise, be my guest. That was a first and last.

The room’s look and feel is comfortable however, I don’t think there’s adequate storage. This room’s closet was also broken and didn’t open fully. The fridge (mini bar) was locked, couldn’t use the fridge to put my champagne in. I also booked this room with the thought there was a jacuzzi on the deck, there was not, but there was one on the room next door (which was the same category and the reason I booked the room). MSC doesn’t supply wash clothes or hand soap. If you cruise other companies, don’t be surprised by this. The A/C worked properly.

Ship tip

If you have sailed Royal or Virgin before, you probably won’t like this company. Just my opinion..

I really don’t like that this company doesn’t have adequate lounge/beach chairs and umbrellas. Constant long lines on ship and on island for food and drinks. Total let down…

I can see why you didn't like the cruise, MSC cruisesline is lacking in many areas compared to other cruiselines I have experienced. My experience was overall mediocre at best. I hope you try the Yacht club and give it a review. I've been interested in going on an MSC cruise ship as a Yacht club next time. Thank you for your review.

What some of you fail to understand, this is what I do for a living. As an agent, I am experiencing other brands that I sale, that I am not familiar with this year. Before you criticize, think first. This by far is not my first time, and I know what kinda room I booked… as I created the booking… gosh, some of you are truly miserable, and it shows. A review is just that, a review of “MY” experience. Just because you have had a certain type of experience, doesn’t mean I had the same. I didn’t mention about wash clothes for the heck of it. If I asked multiple times, and didn’t get one, that’s wasn’t your experience, that was mine. This was my reasoning for trying the brand out, as I have no experience with them and I do primarily sail with Royal. Trust, I have sailed with other lines, and had a great time, this sailing was just not it for me.

Sounds miserable.

Wow I have sailed the past 2 times on a fully booked ship and had no issues, and there were more than enough seats on the private island.

Stick with what you know! (Royal) 😉

First off.. They have had soap. 😂 it is liquid... Right there on the sink. I just sailed this ship twice... A whirlpool cabin is not the same category as a regular balcony... Pay more attention when you book... Otherwise a simple walk to guest services would have cleared up the cabin error. Ocean Cay is huge... Chairs are all over the place... Sheesh.

You have to ask the steward to open your Mini-Bar. MSC has washcloths, you have to ask for them in some ships, as washcloths aren't standard in other countries. You generally won't find any in hotels outside the USA. If you ever decide to sail MSC again pay a little more and book the Yacht Club. No lines and great food.
