Review summary

Good cruise for the price. A little more effort on the dining food would go a long way since this is an important part of the cruise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Liked that there were activities but not party atmosphere all the time.

Embarkation

Easy with little wait

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Buffet food was better than the main dining room. But different expectations since the buffets served snack food and main dining served meals. Food was disappointing compared to other cruises we have been on.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Line dance class

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Really enjoyed all the shows except the "Sinatra" music night. Michael Jackson show was great but some of the younger folks, not of that era, were not so impressed.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Service was average. No one stood out. Did not like that in the dining room my special order steak held up all those around us being served by our waiter. They didn't get their dessert until we got ours which was delayed do the the special order.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Good size room and balcony. Small shower but great water pressure. We were just below pool on deck 16 but room was very quiet even when parties were going on. Love the black out shades. It was pitch black at 9:30 in the morning. Great for a restful getaway.

Ship tip

You will wait on elevators. Don't like the way they work. We were in back of the ship and those elevators (only go from 6 to 16) worked like normal ones and many don't know about them.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Like all ports of call they dump you in the tourist area. We tried to get off the beaten path and wound up paying a lot for lunch. Seemed like there was the tourist price and the local price as many were getting their food to go for lunch. No way the police were paying what we were paying.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Liked all the beaches which enabled everyone to spread out. Need to warn people about the "sea life" in the lagoon. Sting rays took some by surprise.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We took advantage of early departure and carried our own bags. Need staff posted along the line so people don't skip. Especially in auditorium.
