Review summary

For a first cruise, we liked it a lot. We were a bit intimidated by the size of the ship, but after a day, we were pretty comfortable. Did not like the Nassau excursion... felt like a local advertising campaign. VERY MUCH liked the Ocean Cay island... great experience. Don't try to swim on the north beach .. very rocky. Others were amazing! On and off was handled very nicely (unlike disembarking).

Embarkation

Quick - even though the lines looked long, it went quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Lots of choices, a little crowded. Loved Seashore Restaurant... went every night and the waitstaff got to know our orders and interests. Shyman and John at Seashore - great waitstaff!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The fitness center was great. Enjoyed the personal attention. The nightly International show was wonderful! Didn't participate in too many other activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Really enjoyed the nightly shows!

Children's Programs

No kids with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Attentive and quick to respond.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Clean, but crowded. Would have liked a little more clarity on forward and aft directions, although the map was great. We just had trouble every time we got off the elevator to know which way was forward.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Wonderful cabin, loved the balcony. Enjoyed the Aurea experience very much.

Ship tip

It is really big. Many choices to activities. Try them all. Stay near one set of elevators to reduce the walk.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Disembarkation

Very slow, unfortunate end to the trip. Over two hours to leave the ship, including the time we spent waiting for our number to be called. And we were the SECOND group to leave.
