For our first cruise we are very impressed. Every thing we reed of negative in reviews about this ship was not true for us. We had a great cruise and will cruise again.

Review summary

Simply perfect, we loved every minute. It was our first cruise and I had a lot of fears...seasickness, boat rocking...nothing of that happened it was smooth sailing all the way.

All in all it was good

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Didn't go to Specialty restaurant, didn't feel I had to. The dining room experience was great, great service, great food, great choice in menu.

Seashore Restaurant

5 out of 5

We had one breakfast on a sail day and it was perfect. I had oeuf bénédictine with bacon on the side and my husband had scrambled eggs, bacon well done as he asked, potatoes and toasts. We have to say that the toasts where a little hard on the contour but it does not deserve a bad rating because of the rest of the meal at this restaurant.

Marketplace Bar

5 out of 5

The buffet is unbelievable, nothing is missing and everything is just delicious. There are 5 kinds of eggs in the morning plus the option of having them made by the cook...The pizzas are great and the ceasar salad also. The deserts are awesome. I even had a paella for lunch. There is something for everyone. The breads are made every day.

Ipanema Restaurant

5 out of 5

Great service, great food, great waiter (James) and the choice on the menu was really good. My husband is very difficult to please because their are a lot of things that he does not eat and does not like to taste, he ate very well and we felt no need to go to a specialty restaurant we were really happy at the restaurant.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Didn't do much but that was the purpose of the cruise R&R. Pool area is crowded on sail days. People put towel down on chair then go of on excursion...sad. Bar and salons were great, extra clean extra relaxing, good music,

Entertainment

5 out of 5
DJ's ...great. Shows ...well we went to 3. On the two first music was much much to loud couldn't understand a word of the songs but the last night Michael Jackson show was awesome.

Children's Programs

No kids with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Couldn't ask for more. Room steward was almost always available. Room made three time each day. Breakfast in room was always delivered on time to the minute that we asked. Dining room service was also great, very polite, very professional. Always watching out for our needs. Our waiter James was awesome.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Extremely clean ship. On our balcony we couldn't find a spec of dust/dirt or any where else on the ship. I get up early in the morning and I could see the staff at work cleaning the decks and everything meticulously. Cabin extra clean same for bathroom or bathrooms all over the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very comfortable and clean room, A/C great, lightning great, breakfast on the balcony a must, very relaxing. Abundance of hot water and shower pressure no problem, enough space for our clothes, suitcase under the bed. Could have a few more hangers.

Ship tip

Bring Bonine pill for sea sickness if you are sensitive. The ship, when traveling, always rock softly from left to right but not unpleasant.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Very nice place to embark and sail away.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

The ship docked away from the main docking station, not a great place to look at. Didn't like our walk in the tourist area, always asseled for taxi and excursions. Should not be a stop on a cruise.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Very nice, and the boat shuttles to get there are very abundant and great service. Nice place to visit.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Very nice stop, we liked the shopping experience and locals are very nice.

Nassau, Bahamas

Nice but loud in the streets. Must say 6 ships arrived at same time...so over crowded. Over all we really liked and it was the best stop of the cruise.

Disembarkation

Getting of from ship was ok and collecting luggage very easy and fast. But we reserved a MSC bus to take us to Fort Lauderdale airport. Driver was an ass (sorry for that) but he kept us waiting for 1¼hour because he wanted his friend bus driver to take his parking place. We got going at 10h10 and our plane was at 12h. As he was late he drove erratically in the fast lane because of slow cars ahead of him always breaking and accelerating with force having us rock in our seats plus he was texting while driving in fast lane (I have picture). He dropped us at the beginning of terminal 3 and Air Transat was at the end of terminal 4 very very long walk with all of our luggage. Just couldn't believe this guy. Said he couldn't park is bus near terminal 4. But we saw other bus parked there.
