Overall experience was unsatisfactory and disappointing. Food sucked, and guest services/management was often unapologetic and combative rather than empathetic or solution-oriented. The onboard activities were OK, but nightly performances were great. I wish there were more late-night options. Nothing open to eat or much to do past midnight
Embarkation

Very easy process. The line was extremely long but moved relatively quickly
It was easy to get checked in and on the boat

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food was very disappointing. Overall, very bland and almost always overcooked. On "lobster night" almost all the lobsters ordered for our table were overcooked or straight up bitter. Fish every night except one was overcooked. The buffett is slightly below average as far as buffett food goes. Still bland, but at least youre expecting it. Dinner service was awful. Specialty dining was better, but not worth the price. Avoid the Butchers Cut. Waste of money
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
It felt like the boat was geared for family groups only. Nothing open late, no late night shows or events. No late night food (not even pizza!) After midnight, pretty much everything shuts down. The ship activities during the day were OK
Entertainment

Onboard performance shows were entertaining. The singers and dancers did a good job each night, and the shows were of a decent amount of time.
The other live music and DJing were OK. Nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary.

Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Guest services staff generally unhelpful and surprisingly unempathetic. You'd think an apology for something thats their fault or out of your control would be easier than pulling teeth.
Most of the waitstaff were kind and cheery, but one member seemed to have an issue with family members sharing drinks, despite everyone having a drink package. Even brought his manager over to complain about it, of which the MANAGER said it was fine.
Our room steward was fantastic. Most other cruise staff was kind. Bartenders were great

Cabin / Stateroom

The balcony was nice. Decent sized room for the price. Bathroom is not too small, but the shower is tiny. Our room must have been positioned over some sort of machinery, because every hour or so there would be a low whiny humming sound, lasting about 2 minutes each time.
I would be suspicious too if you were sharing drinks even though you all had the drink package. Waiter was just doing his job. Food availability times are a problem with MSC though, but there is a disco/dance thing every night after midnight on MSC ships and the casino is open. Like pretty much every other cruise line.
