Review summary

I was pleasantly surprised that this Cruise Line seemed much more elegant and upscale then I would have expected for the price and expected based on other reviews. The food was in line with much higher end cruise lines that I have been on like Holland America and the service was just as good as other upscale Cruise Lines I've been on as well, although the specialty dining options were nothing special. The pricing was very reasonable throughout the ship though and they drink packages were very reasonable when bought ahead of time as well. The cabins were nice and well maintained but the bed was uncomfortable compared to some other Cruise Lines I've been on. It was passable though for a Cruise 7 days or less. The entertainment was ahead or a mess. I enjoyed the Casual entertainment and parties more than the main Production shows for sure. This is not a ship to go on for entertainment options but the facilities themselves were nice and enjoyable if that is not a huge issue for you. I would recommend this cruise line to anybody that is on a budget and would like to try a more elegant alternative to Carnival without paying Royal Caribbean or premium Cruise Line prices.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room was excellent every time I went. The buffet was above average compared to most mainstream Cruise Lines but the specialty dining was disappointing, especially in comparison to other Cruise Lines I've tried specialty dining for. However, I was still very satisfied with the food.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The facilities were well maintained in an excellent condition. Onboard parties were a lot of fun and the pools and fitness centers were what you would expect from a new ship and this category of cruise line. The bars and entertainment venues were fairly enjoyable as well.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were pretty entertaining but nothing special in my opinion. The music was pretty repetitive and was probably my least favorite part of the ships entertainment. The parties were entertaining and I enjoyed them but I wouldn't say they were super special and comparison to other Cruise lines. Overall, I was satisfied with the entertainment for the price paid but I was not wowed by it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The crew were amazing and went Above and Beyond in every category. I was extremely satisfied with the crew in every area.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The layout and design of the ship was elegant and easy to navigate. Everything was extremely well maintained and had a higher class feeling than some other cruise lines of a similar price point.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin met my expectations but did not exceed them. The shower was nice but a little small and the bed was rock hard to me although it was in good condition and the balcony was small

Ship tip

Definitely get a drink package even if it's the lowest drink package since you cannot take any drinks on board with you and the drink packages are reasonable when they are prepaid

Ports of call

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

5 out of 5
This is definitely one of my favorite Cruise Line private islands and the overnight is an amazing feature

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
This is an amazing Port as always. There are so many wonderful places to eat and beaches to visit. I like to do a tour of the east side of the island and it's absolutely breathtaking. I could definitely spend a few days at this port and it's a place that they have an expensive meds for sale at the pharmacies, which are clean and reputable there

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
This has gotten to be one of my least favorite stops in the western caribbean. The port itself is a maze to get out of and is a very tacky attraction money pit for the tourists. It's a very small local area outside of the port though and although the food is great, prices have gone up and the beach is not as good as it used to be... and the vendors are very aggressive

Port Canaveral, Florida

Disembarkation
