Review summary

Service was slow, ship is too crowded, I'd say you get what you pay for, but we paid a lot to be in Yach Club and didn't get nearly what we paid for. Elevator system is terrible, crowded everywhere, like a bad water park. Air conditioning didn't seem to be on anywhere except the Yacht Club areas. $10 to watch a movie in yacht club suite, second part of trip only 2 options: animated ( super Mario bros) or porn. Not kidding. Staff tries hard but simply not enough, save your money and travel with another line.

We were in the Yacht Club on the same cruise. Our experience was wonderful! 4th Yacht Club cruise. The ship was great. Staff in and out of the YC were always polite and friendly. Sorry you had a bad experience. As for the elevators, learn to use your sail card when you call for a lift. 95% of the time we would get a priority lift and a short wait for the elevator to arrive. Place the card under the key pad and watch for it to recognize the card then select the floor. We learned this from our Butler.

FWIW I've cruised many times before, usually once or twice a year, MSC is just not for me and I'm letting others know my experience and suggestions. Tried Carnival once about 20 years ago and decided it's not for me, now I've tried MSC I Yacht Club and also realized it's not for me. Already booked in NCL the Haven and a Regent cruise for next year. If you're looking for something upscale and relaxed, MSC is not it, not even in Yacht Club. There were a few nice things, but not enough to make it worth a second try. We enjoyed the steaks at the Yacht Club Restaurant, the wireless chargers in the room, the glassware at the Top Sail Lounge, and the quality of watches and items for sale onbaord were surprisingly upscale.

You know how it is a lot of these people on here that do the comments about the cooking. They cook like chefs so they all find something wrong. I find it a lot of people complain a lot about a lot of things that are just not worth complaining about and even though you paid for yacht club, the ship is beautiful but if you wanted a boat, you guys should go to carnival and don’t come to MSC. It’s a luxury liner. It’s for laid-back people.

Was on this ship 14 days in April/May. I’m sorry you were so so disappointed. Our cruise was perfect. I know the ship is super full and busy It’s Summer time. Holds over 4000 not counting crew so it will be packed. That’s why the elevator are slow. Maybe a smaller ship would be better for you. I hate to hear ya had such a bad time. I can’t wait til our September 11 day cruise.

I was on the MSC Seascape last January in the Yacht Club and did not experience anything close to yours. Even outside of Yacht Club, it wasn't that bad, and no more crowded then other cruise ships on sea days. Food, service, and ship were all above average. I think maybe cruising isn't for you, since you spent the entire cruise complaining about everything.

We were in the yacht club last year in the msc seaside. Best experience ever. Food was awesome. Drinks were awesome. You had your own pool. You had your own butler. You have your own entrance to get on the ship which took all of 10 minutes. We were whisked off the ship cutting through all the lines with our butler when leaving the ship. Not sure what you experienced but it sure wasn't anything like ours.
