As a frequent cruiser I was very surprised by the lack of quality and service offered by the MSC Cruise line. I would have preferred you charged me a bit more and provided a better overall experience. I will likely look at other crusie lines before sailing with MSC again

Food and Dining
2 out of 5
We were assigned to the Tribeca dining room at the 5:30 seating. Our waiter Sucipto needs to go back into training to learn how to interact with guests. His manner was brisk at best. We asked for paper menus and given he waited on us every night of the cruise he should have had them on the table for us. But no, every night we had to ask and share one between four people.
There was no personal interaction, no hello, how was your day or anything else. He stood by you with a order pad waiting for you to provide your order. He never came back to check on how our dinners were, if they were cooked right or anything. His assistant waiter was a little bit better he would answer questions but we had to start the interaction and pull it out of him. On nights we wanted a cocktail, it took a ridiculously long time to get a cocktail server and by the time drinks arrived dinner was basically over. If we did not order wine upon arrival we were never able to get it later in the meal.
The food was lackluster, and who covers prime rib with a thick brown gravy without putting such on the menu. The menu descriptions need work to be accurate and inclusive of everything on the plate.
The quality of the food was lacking and the amount of sodium used in all the dishes needs to be greatly reduced. All four of us ended up with swelling of the legs and feet due to the abundance of salt in the food. This has never happened on any of the other 6 cruise lines we have sailed on. Service for other meals in the dinning room were similarly as bad for both Breakfast and lunch.
The food at the buffet, was also lacking in diversity and quality. The service was nonexistent, on every other cruise ship, the staff come around to offer beverages, refills etc. This was not the case in any meal we had at the buffet.
I will complement the bartenders working at the Seashore bar and the bar on the floor above it, as they were both personable and efficient.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
The daytime activities offered on board were limited and uncreative, and worst of all they were all 30 minutes in duration. This has a guest moving from activity to activity, versus being able to find something enjoyable that lasts an hour or two. Thankfully we can prepared with some games we could play and occupy our time aboard.
Entertainment

We were very disappointed that Karaoke was not held every night at a reasonable hour. There was high demand for this activity, and it was held in a small space, it would have been much better held in a bigger venue like the Cabaret lounge, which hardly had more than a handful of people. The shows started out okay the first night or two but after that they really fell down in quality.
Service and Staff

Out Cabin Steward kept us in ice, and kept the room up, however we rarely saw him, which is very unusual on a cruise ship. However had to repeatedly ask for wash cloths on multiple days.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Layout was a bit odd, as it was missing a central staircase, so it forces everyone to the elevators. the design ad decor were very well done. I will say that for a ship names seashore , it was odd having all the venues named afer places in New York City
Cabin / Stateroom

The Cabins were fine, however one cabin was missing a balcony chair which took several requests to have it appear on the balcony.
I haven't cruuse on Seahore, but do have it booked for early next year. I cruised on the Seascape and had a great time with plenty of great food. I get that every person is different but how can one person rave about a cruise and the other complain non stop. Personally I believe it's the person with elevated expectations that will never be met rather than a failure on the cruise line. Also MSC is a cruise line catering to people from Southern Europe not Americans so the service, food, and customer service is vastly different.
Coming from someone with no photos or other cruises listed makes me wonder if this is real! We have been on 9 MSC Cruises with more already booked. They seem to get better and better every time.
