Review summary

Overall it was fine. We enjoyed ourselves when we could without spending too much. The ports were the best part. The food and service was our least favorite part. But it was cheap and overall a good deal for a vacation.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Main dining room was slow, water was almost never refilled, and the food often wasn’t even that good. We skipped main dining a few days for the buffet. Buffet was ok, breakfast was good but lunch and dinner felt like after thoughts. Food was repeated but not even in a creative way. Avoid beef at all costs, it was never good. Pizza was fine but carnival magic had better. The lobster on Gala night was abysmal, so dry and flavorless, even with butter. Very disappointed.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Pools were ok but were often packed and children in every pool so it was hard to just relax while kids are splashing everywhere, even in the hot tubs. Activities were minimal and felt like kindergarten level stuff like paper crafts.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Entertainment was ok. Theater shows were awful but live music was nice. The magician absolutely sucked, his tricks were old and stories were boring.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Reception was rude and dismissive with any concerns and we won’t went up there once to take off gratuities that we already prepaid. Room steward was fine but there was an instance where our clothes must have been taken accidentally during cleaning and they pretended like it didn’t happen. Pretty sure they snuck into our room after we went to reception to check if they had a lost and found (not trying to get them in trouble, just wanted our clothes back) and they shoved my fiances clothes into my backpack in the closet. He would never put them there but magically his shirt and shorts were found tucked into the small front pocket in a backpack in never touched all cruise.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was nice and looked more classy than carnival. The elevators were HORRIBLE. Seems like they were designed to make wait times shorter but we ended up waiting longer than carnival.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was clean and roomy. We enjoyed it. There was no soap on the hand soap dispenser when we got inside though.

Ship tip

Get food from the buffet, and go to the back of the ship. Wait to shop until the last few days (or even the last day) because they’ll have more deals. Try speciality dining, that was far better than the buffet or main dining and they often had deals like $99 for 2 for one restaurant.
