We were looking forward to founding another cruise line to us and it won’t be MSC.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
This part was easy, organized and quick.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Main dining I was assigned to was closed Breakfast and Lunch. Buffet food had no variety, not warm and too many “fancy” dishes. It was not tasty and lines were long. Went to Hola which we did enjoy and the Sushi all you can eat which was bad. Not many options, not very tasty and slow with a 45 minute limit
Drinks were watered down. I don’t usually drink much and never even got a buzz after many drinks.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Same activities, no variety hard to follow listings.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Just so-so. Nothing to get excited about.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Bad experience with the room steward, couldn’t get wash clothes, only delivered 2 towels there were 4 of us. Finally took what we needed from a cart end of day 2. He argued with us about the # of pool towels when we only had 3.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
For the boat being MSCs newest ship it was not very good. We had rust in the shower and it smelled very musty. Neither soap dispenser in shower and bathroom worked. Hard to find table in buffet area that was empty and cleaned
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The room overall was good. There could have been more storage but we managed.
The island was beautiful. We reserved an electric paddle boat which wasn’t available, then reserved family kayak which was cancelled due to winds. Food again wasn’t very good.
I sailed with MSC Seashore in February and had the very opposite experience, we loved every minute of it.
When we returned home I wound up booking two more cruises with them
