Review summary

I loved their island and boat, but the rest left enough to be desired that I don’t know that we will be back. It’s a shame. If I hear their food and staff get better we would try again, and spend money on our excursions to their island. It really was gorgeous.

Embarkation

Fast! Super fast and simple

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The staff were disinterested, hurried, and not very friendly. The food was only ok. Kind of like cafeteria food. Not bad, but not what you would expect on a cruise.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The pools were gorgeous but closed super early. You can’t enjoy the hot tub past 8pm. And the hot tubs were not cleaned well. The pools were ok, better seating than other cruises

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Their performers were amazing. Vocalists we’re outstanding and dancers as well. Their magician left a lot to be desired, very old worn out tricks. And their juggler was good, but very weird performance. Perhaps you could say avant garde?

Children's Programs

We didn’t have kids on board but we didn’t see much for them aside from the kids area

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
The room steward was kind, but I didn’t meet one staff that was friendly or went out of their way to be helpful. We didn’t have issues either so at least we weren’t frustrated by staff, but we heard many others complaints about staff in regards to rudeness, disinterest, poor service, etc.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It was a beautiful boat, very new, clean, it did have some plumbing issues, but that wasn’t the boat, I believe it was passenger misuse or overuse

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Clean and new, but we weren’t given pool towels, we had to take them from the steward cart, and the steward missed some trash each time he came through. Or forgot to refill towels or such. Not a deal breaker though, he was very overwhelmed.

Ship tip

The food isn’t plentiful or all day, you really have to schedule your meals and there is no drink stations anywhere. Your food is only available at the restaurants and drinks are at the bar or restaurants. Other boats have snack venues or drink stations, I was dehydrated due to lack of availability of drinks outside of the restaurant

Ports of call

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

5 out of 5
The most beautiful and well kept island I’ve seen. Royal Caribbean and Carnival’s islands are great but this one is a marine reserve. Tranquil, easy to walk, and beautifully laid out

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Now that they opened the colorful shacks, the panhandlers are much easier to deal with. And the quality of the merchandise has gone up. But this port is truly just for shopping. I don’t trust the excursions to have us back to the boat in time, it’s very sketchy place.

Disembarkation

Easy, but the end bill was frustrating. They take $250 deposit and explain they’ll reimburse what you don’t use. But that’s not the case. They take $250, then you have to pay your room bill BEFORE they’ll reimburse your $250. My bill was $287. I was expecting to pay an additional $37 but I had to pay the full $287 PLUS their deposit to leave the boat. The $250 was reimbursed but this was an expensive and long process to simply pay for services.
