Review summary

Some people must be much higher maintainance than we are. I have no complaints with MSC and would definitely go on another cruise with them.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was crowded waiting to board but they had to wait for everyone on the previous trip to disembark. We saw a straggler getting walked off at 1130 and then our boarding started shortly afterward. It went quickly once it started.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I saw so many bad reviews I was ready to be disappointed but I thought the food was fine. We had 2 dinners in one of the dining rooms and we were all happy with the food. We had 1 lunch and 2 breakfasts in the Marketplace buffet and that food was good too.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We watched some of the performers in the Atrium areas and they were good. Some of our group went to a couple shows and said they were great. I went to a lot of the bars and servers were quick and friendly. We spent a lot of time in the casino.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We thought everyone was very talented.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All ship personnel were friendly and helpful if we had any questions.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It's a beautiful ship. Took us a little while to get used to the layout but by the end of the trip we had it figured out. People were constantly cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an interior cabin but really were only in it to sleep. It was fine for us.

Ship tip

I was surprised to see there are no ATMs on board. Bring all the cash you want to spend. I probably would have spent more in the casino if I could have taken more cash out.

Ports of call

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

5 out of 5
It is a beautiful island. We had a simple lunch at one of the food huts. Burgers and fries. It was fine. We sat near the water but didn't go in and saw the current seemed strong. A couple people appeared to be pulled too far out and toward some rocks and required lifeguard assistance. Everyone was fine but that section of beach was immediately closed for swimming and red flags were raised.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The line to walk off looked like it would be horrible, but it went extremely fast once we were given permission to disembark. We were off the ship before 730 and home by 8am.
