We chose this cruise to introduce ourselves to MSC cruises. This cruise missed the mark completely. We will not be back ever on this cruise line.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
It was terrible. We stood in line for approximately 2 hours. There were staff behind the intake and no work was being performed.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The Italian night dinner was horrendous. The market buffet was great. The buffet is why it is a 4.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Participated in the Queen and Michael Jackson music games. The casino was fun too. However, the communication with n board was horrible. We were never aware of any other things to do.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Our steward was polite. The wait staff in the Manhattan restaurant were sometimes good and other times lacking.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
This was fine. They should upgrade the corridor carpeting. The colors in our suite were bland and dull. Our suite was woefully lacking in electric outlets and the second bedroom did not have a television or electric power outlets. With the rise in hand held devices this needs to be corrected as soon as possible.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
As stated before there were not enough power outlets, the decor colors were bland and dull. The second bedroom did not have a television. We had to beg for linen for the second bathroom. We were very disappointed in the suite.
This was horrible. They sent us to the sports bar. There was no communication at all. When our disembarkation time came and went without a word from the crew we simply left. There was a serpentine line that traversed the entire 6th floor of the ship tha was completely full of people. Again, this was a terrible experience for me and my family.
Sorry to hear of it wasn't up to par and you will never cruise MSC.
On a two night cruise there isn't enough time for passengers to settle in and relax
The two night cruise everyone wants to get on the ship early every minute counts on these cruises. We did a two night cruise last year and it was not enjoyable. Then we did a back to back cruise that ended up being 7 nights and it was amazing.
We were on the same cruise with another couple and we all thought it was great. Boarding had to be delayed because they needed to wait for stragglers from the previous cruise to get off the ship. We saw them walking one guy off about 11:40. Then boarding started and the line though long moved very quickly. When leaving, we carried our own luggage off and the long line moved at a fast walk. It wasn't bad. We were off the ship and in our car by 730 and home before 8AM. For a cheap cruise, it would be hard to beat. We cruise a lot on Royal but all agreed we would gladly go on Seashore again. We enjoyed dinners at the Central Park dining room and also the breakfasts and 1 lunch we ate at the buffet. The food was all fine. The ship was beautiful, our cabins were nicer than some I've seen on other lines. I had seen some bad reviews before going on this cruise so chose to go on the shortest MSC cruise we could find, but for us and our friends it was great. Next time we all agreed we will go on a longer cruise with them.
