Review summary

Overall I would not recommend cruising with MSC. Although the ship was newer and the cabins were nice, the food was very bad which sort of ruined the entire thing. The entertainment was good and the staff was excellent, but they've got to fix the food.

This was the worst food I've every had on any cruise. I've cruised many many different cruise lines and the food here was terrible. We basically survived on pizza the entire trip. The main dining room was slow, the food was cold, unappetizing and not tasty.

Onboard Activities

The onboard activities were entertaining. The trivia was fun, the games shows were good. Overall pretty acceptable.

Stage shows were good but the regular entertainment was just ok. Piano bar players and singers were just ok.

Nice newer ship. Easy to get around. But it was really big.

Overall cabin size was nice. Cabin was kept clean by staff and towels were refreshed regularly. The bathroom shower was one of the smaller ones I've seen on cruises, but worked for us. Would not work for a larger-sized person though.

On the Seashore now and I agree about the food. The buffet never changes pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, bread (hard), cheeses and meats. So we decided to go to the dinning room. I got vegetables stir fry which turned out to be 2 cups of plain white rice with 5, seriously 5 pieces of veg and a piece of tofu. No seasoning at all. My daughter (age 7) got alfredo pasta. It was about 1/2 a cup and she asked for more but they said it was a charge. Oh and if you want the ice cream that is included with your drink package, it is only served between 4pm to 5pm. It is not the Gelato.

I experienced the same, but their other ships not docked in the USA have better food and other improvements.

We'll be on Seashore in less than a month. It's only 2 nights so I could definitely survive on just pizza if I have to.
