Review summary

We have cruises MSC 8 times. Two have been in balcony cabins. Six have been Yacht Club. The service on those two cruises was the worse ever. I think there should be a closer line between the two.

Embarkation

Yacht Club treatment is unique. From the time you arrive at the tent at the dock. A butler meets you and takes your carryon luggage. There’s no waiting.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
No need for any beverage package. I do think a shot of Remy XO for $27 was excessive.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The only one we did was coming down the shoot.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
On previous MSC cruises our seating was reserved. We were escorted by a butler to the theater where our seats were prime and had been roped off. That was not the case on the Seashore.

Service and Staff

Again we were Yacht Club Guests. For 14 days not just our butler (Sudi) but all catered to our needs. We requested the same waiter every night. Joseph learned us quickly and it made our dining experience special.

Ship Quality

One word Gorgeous!

Cabin / Stateroom

Great location. Of course all Yacht cabins are forward. So that’s to be expected.

Ship tip

If at all possible book the Yacht Club experience. I would think better pricing would be close to sailing. The cabin next to us was available both weeks. MSC is losing money and I don’t think they care. There has been a major turnover of booking agents within MSC. Our previous Agent was let go due to COVID. The new Agents are either pressure or don’t care. The one we booked with (Christopher B) close to sailing never returned our calls.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

We flew in the day of sailing on Southwest. We arrived at FLL around 12:00 and used UBER to get to the ship. No excursion. We did stay in Miami one day upon our return.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

A favorite stop for us. Unfortunately it rained most of the day.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We have been there many times so our day was already set.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

We were able to walk to town. The weather was great.

Disembarkation

Again as Yacht Club Guests we were taken around any Guests standing in line. It adds meaning to the phrase “You Get What You Pay For”
