Review summary

We throughly enjoyed our vacation! There were a few issues, logistically speaking, but we didn’t allow it to ruin our vacation.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Embarkation was less than perfect. My only “complaint” was the lack of communication from MSC in warning passengers about additional testing at the terminal. I have no problem with this additional test we just weren’t expecting it. Plus, MSC wasn’t turning guests away (like they said they would) when it wasn’t your turn to show up. Which is a big reason I feel like the testing portion was backed up. Security, holding area, actual checkin was flawless and quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We had no major issues with food or dining during our visit. There was an evening that they were behind but with our group we barely noticed because we were enjoying each other’s company. However, the ship never had Moscato which is supposed to be included in Easy Plus Package so I upgraded my Easy Package for no reason.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Onboard activities were normal for a cruise ship. We had a blast at everything we attended. Better attention needs to be used when actually scheduling though. Lots of overlapping.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Compared to Divina and Seaside we were highly disappointed by Seashore’s entertainment lineup. However, we LOVED Coast to Coast show! I’d like to see MSC being back the Michael Jackson show and/or addition of actual Broadway productions.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
No complaints! Staff were amazing. Ruben from Teppanyaki is always our favorite. Everyone always saying hello.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
No complaints! One of the reasons we cruise MSC is the clean ships and the preventative steps they take to address issues before they become an inconvenience.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
No complaints! Love Puerto Rico.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Was nervous about this port but I actually loved it! The new port is beautiful.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and painless. Enjoyed breakfast until 9:30am and we’re off ship by 10am.
