We had a great time on a great ship. The ship was only about 25 to 35% full, so we had plenty of room to move about. Despite the low numbers, the LongbIsland pool dexk was pretty crowded on sea days, so this may be a problem at full capacity. Food was acceptable and the entertainment was great!
Embarkation
4 out of 5
The process did not take long, however there was some disconnect with the staff. We were tested for COVID, which went smooth, and then we were moved to a new waiting area. There was a lack of communication on what to do and when. That being said, the process still went quick and we were onboard in a timely manner despite the confusion.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Despite this ship being geared towards Americans, the MDR did not have very many traditional american dishes. I will admit, I don't have the most adventurous palate... For those that do, this may not be an issue. I did think the buffet had adequate variety, and believe me... I didn't go hungry.
HOLA! Tacos & Cantina
5 out of 5
The all you can eat deal at HOLA! TACOS & Cantina was great! We easily got our moneys worth. We ate their twice on our 7 day cruise. I would highly recommend this venue and my wife enjoyed muddling her own guacamole!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There are several pools and a ton of whirlpools onboard. We really enjoyed the Pirates Cove water park. There are 4 slides including one that uses Aquadream VR. We also enjoyed playing some trivia. We were onboard for the Superbowl, and we had some good seats in the bar for the game. I did think it was ridiculous that MSC was trying to sell Superbowl Packages with premium seating, chicken wings, nachos and beer for $200 for two people. Only one area was purchased and the rest sat empty for the whole game. Way to much to ask...
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The entertainment was excellent! The shows in Madison theater were top notch and Le Cabaret Rouge was exceptional! They way they integrated art, music & choreography was fun and exciting.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
It's rare that I find cruise crew to NOT be kind and helpful, and MSC Seashore was no exception. We had excellent service from bar staff in the marketplace, and at HOLA! Tacos. The overall experience with staff members was excellent.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This ship is BEAUTIFUL! It's pretty much brand new and we enjoyed virtually everything about it. There were a couple of times that we found some soot on the outdoor furniture, but other than that I can't think of anything bad to say about this ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We had a midship balcony cabin and it was nice. Plenty of storage space, though the shower was smaller than others I have had on ships. One downside, as I often have equipment that needs to charge, if you are not in the room, you will have to leave your ship card behind in the slot to keep power on in the room. Learned this the hard way..
Ship tip
Leave someone's ship card in the room slot if you need a phone, or camera batteries, or anything to continue charging while you are out of the room. If you don't, the room will not have any power.
The water here is so beautiful! We climbed the lighthouse and had great views of the entire island. MSC is still developing this area, and I hope they will add a nice beach pool area with swim up bar, as many cruisers aren't fans of swimming in salt water. Overall, a nice day!
We love Cozumel, and as far as ports go, we feel this is a good one. We will be back in Cozumel soon, so we just got off the ship for a very short time for some shopping.
We were given a disembarking number with an approximate time the last night of the cruise. We arrived at the theater at our designated time and were called to disembark earlier then expected. The process was smooth and our bags were ready and easily located in the terminal.
Hi thank you for the review we will sail this Saturday. Is you luggage at your cabin right away because of the low number of guests or do we still need to pack our essentials separately when we check in?
Awsome ! I will be on the Seashore this Sat 2/26. Looks like 25% is about 1100 people and 35% is about 1500 Seashore holds about 4500 not including crew. I hope there are more people as spring break starts first week of March.
