I had fun being with my family, but I'll never fail with MSC again. They'd have to give me a suite for free and a free drink package for me to even consider them again.

The dining room I was assigned to was decent. My wait staff were excellent. But the food was not seasoned. MSC does lamb very well, but nothing else.

This was a bright spot for me. The theater shows were great. The dj kept the party moving.

My room attendant was good. First cruise I've ever been on where they don't do towel animals. Buffet wait staff were either nonexistent or to quick to take your food tray. Most of the staff is only familiar with they're duties. Case in point I asked buffet officer in a white shirt about the hydraulic arm up on the upper deck. He had NO idea what i was talking about. Everyone should know about all the attractions on board the ship.

Needs more elevators. The hand washing stations were a complete failure. Public restrooms were not cleaned in timely fashion. Most bartenders couldn't make a decent drink of their life depended on it.
Cabin / Stateroom

Smallest balcony cabin I've ever seen. Not enough drawer space or hanging space in the closet. I absolutely did not like the fact that the couch was set up as a bed all the time. Every other ship turns it back into a couch during the day to give you somewhere to sit. But MSC in is brilliance days keep it in bed firm for the entire trip.
We rented a cabana. I understand no one wants to be right on top of the next person, but they were spread to far apart. But they future you went away from starting point, the closer they got to each other. My cabana was a good 1/4 mile walk in the hot sun to the buffet center. And no shuttle came our way for pick up. That would have made it bearable. Every cabana I've ever rented had an attendant who got you drinks from the bar. Not here. Get it yourself. Horrible.
Sorry you were so disappointed. Pools are never going to be big enough for everyone. Towel animals surely just increase the laundry needing done and staff are stretched as it is. And as for the complaint about the buffet staff - as long as they did their own duties to a decent standard that’d be fine by me. I work in IT and if someone asked me about the coffee machine in the canteen I wouldn’t have a clue, but what does it really matter
