7 Night Eastern Caribbean Enchantment (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)

Sail date: December 26, 2010

Ship: MSC Poesia

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Family (older children)

Review summary

Controlled payments to dinner staff and cabin stewards when poor service is provided was inappropriate. Embarkation was a huge conflict with personnel waiting and the 1 person in charge (much yelling by the MSC person). Poor food service. Poor menu. We have been on 30 cruises, and won't go on this line again.

1 menu the whole cruise. No selections. We ate at the buffett more than at the dining room. At least there were selections.

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Very nice port, one of the reasons we selected the trip.
Don't Miss: Shopping on the Drake Passage.

Nassau, Bahamas

1 out of 5
We didn't go to Nassau, we went to Freeport. I would have not booked this cruise if I knew it was going to Freeport. It was falsely advertised.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Very nice port, also a reason we went on the cruise. We were in port too short, this seemed like a shorting for the passengers.

Pros: Evening Entertainment

Cons: Food and Ports

Recommends MSC Poesia? No.
