Not the best review I could write as it would involve me writing a whole book
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Absolutely quick and perfect. Priority boarding of course helped in that factor
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
With the exception of what I class as "pusher inners" the buffet was always excellent, crowded, but excellent. We are early risers, usually taking a jog and a swim at around 6am and then breakfast so it was never that crowded. We had open seating in the main dining room, thus we always had a reservation planned and booked the day in advance, table for two. Lots of people seemed to complain about temperature of food, especially those on early or late seating. This did never effect us.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Probably not a fair rating, but as we only ever used the pool and the spa services, I cannot really comment on the remainder.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Not as good as the MSC Divina which we took the year before, but still of a relatively high calibre
Children's Programs
Aint got no kids, well, I have, but shes 25
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Aside from the tips which are applied every day automatically, I always had some extra cash for personal that went that little bit extra. In bars we got to know certain staff members and that "slightly loaded" handshake always guaranteed quick service but also never having to wait in a queue if it was busy. The bar staff know, according to time of day or evening which drink we would order so when they saw us, it was prepared, even if we were 10th in line. Our cabin steward was always going that little bit extra, again, the "loaded handshake" paving the way to receiving above and beyond service.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
All in all the whole ship was very clean with the exception of some of the hallways. There had been a couple of leaks that had caused a small amount of puddles, which, seemed to be an ongoing problem.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had an Aurea balcony cabin. Basically exactly the same as what we had on the Divina. I do not know if it had undergone any upgrades, but it was like brand new. Shower was like on most cruise ships in a balcony category, a little small but manageable
We stayed in an Airbnb apartment for three days prior to boarding. Explored Venice as much as we could given the time limit. Absolutely beautifull city but WAY TO CROWDED
Absolutely stunning scenery, No excursion as such but after conducting some research on line, we planned and hired mountain bikes. If you stay close to the major inlet there are hardly any hills to climb up making this suitable for any age or capability. We rode to Bogorodicin hram in the morning and explored some little known churches and so on. In a local pub we found you could have a glass of wine, two beers and two slivovices (local fire water) all for 3€. In the afternoon we biked to the other side of the inlet but unfortunately the church that we wanted to visit was closed
We were not in any rush to disembark as we knew we had our car waiting in the park for us so we just went with the flow. I believe we got off according to the schedule that was planned and then drove the 900km back to home in the Czech Republic
