Review summary

Beautiful clean ship with nice salt water pools and nice hot tubs. Nightly entertainment was very good. Dining room dinner and brunch was very good. Loved seeing NYC at night when we were leaving, it was spectacular. Loved seeing NYC in the morning as the sun came up. Really wish there was a way they could post weather reports while in Bermuda, so you know what to do.

Embarkation

We had a 12:30 time slot from Brooklyn NY. Arrived an 1.5 hours early, no issues with parking ($315) for the week) and getting on the ship was very quick and easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We did not use the specialty restaurants. The main dining was very good. Food and service both good with several selections for appetizers, main course and deserts. Deserts were great! Portions on the small side but on most items can order more without an additional fee. The dining room was crowded. Buffet had plenty of food and selections. Some food items very good and some not so good. Pizza was very good and all the deserts were excellent! The ice and drinking fountains not always in service. Buffet is shaped like a U bypass it and go to the back, no lines same food. Buffet was very crowded and not always able to find a table and sometimes the lines for food was large. Just go off peak hours and much less crowded.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Salt water pools very clean and we did see staff testing water. Getting a chair by main pool very difficult but plenty of chairs further away from pool. The Bamboo indoor pool and 2 large hot tubs favorites! All of the hot tubs very busy - needed to wait for people to leave. Prebooked a couples massage. Getting an appointment was very difficult - they had daily specials and seems to push massage even when we has tough time getting an appointment! Night time activities a lot of fun (trivia, games shows and karaoke) and the shows (comedy act was excellent) were all very entertaining! They had plenty of daily and nightly activities to keep you busy!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Stage shows were very good! Comedy shows, adult and kid friendly were excellent! Variety of musicians (Jazz, one person band - Beatles, Pink Floyd, 70's to 90's music , piano playing) were all good. Cruise people really worked hard to keep the party going! Loved the dome light shows. They have a class done by the chocolatier that is very good, and you get samples of their excellent chocolate.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Jana, on the 13th deck (forward) was excellent. Kept cabin clean and provided a lot of information. Waiter in main dining room, Harish, was excellent as well. Ship personnel very helpful and pleasant to work with (for some English was difficult to understand but we seemed to work it out).

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The atrium and dome made it feel like you were not on a cruise ship. Loved the music in the atrium, but wish there were more seating. The ship was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
13018 forward with a balcony. All cruise ship cabins are small. Balcony was nice, tv worked and the Steward, Jana, kept the room clean! Bed was comfortable. Never really felt the ship rocking.

Ship tip

Buffet is very busy, go off peak. Check daily activity app for different activities and save in your things to do. Early or late in the day it is very easy to get in the hot tubs. Days at sea they have a brunch in the dining room. It is excellent. Loved the French toast, and strawberry shortcake for dessert.

We were the only ship in port so it was not overly busy which was nice. Wish the dockyard shops were open later. They close early. Did not do any excursions, took ferry to Hamilton and $7 pp shuttle to beach. both very convenient.
