Review summary

Very disappointed with MSC. It has to improve a lot if they want to cater to US guests. Food, entertainment, service all need to be fixed. This was our anniversary cruise and I wish we would have taken Carnival instead. MSC could be great but still has a lot to learn in the industry.

Food and Dining

Buffet was terrible. No salad bar. Have to look at different stations for all ingredients. No variety. No omelet station. All the food was ok quality. Water tasted horrible. Most days only had ice tea and lemonade. At night 2 drink stations open for the whole ship. Main dining is a joke. Portions are a joke. Choices are not there. So disappointed with the whole menu. Make sure to eat lobster when they have it. Only 1 day. If you drink make sure to get a beverage package first 2 days.

Onboard Activities

It’s impossible to get a seat by the pool unless you there at 6 am. To enjoy a show at night you have to book it days before. Otherwise it is always full. Shows are lame. Best one was crew talent show on the last night. Nothing to do for kids. Definitely not the ship to take kids on.

Entertainment

Could be better. Magic show you have to pay for had no magic. Performers were ok. Nothing special. It is not what we experienced on other cruises. Definitely not a fun ship.

Service and Staff

Room steward was terrible. No personality. Didn’t talk to us at all. Photo people were the best. Supper friendly and funny. Main dining was good too. Way too many tables for 1 person. So he did his best.

Ship Quality

Ship only had 2 sets of elevators. Mid and front. Our room was in the back so always had to walk a mile to get to stairs. Design was cool and mostly clean.

Loved our room. Balcony was the best. Hated to tub. Bathroom stunk like sewage. Beds were so hard woke up with back pain every morning
