Review summary

This is our first cruise's experience and we are not going back MSC Meraviglia due to the facts: 1) very long waiting time for embarking, disembarking and lunch on their private island 2) missing fun slides and pools 3) missing tea and coffee after only the second day 4) very expensive extra drink package and extra on boat activities 5) stinky room!

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Terrible! Extremely long zigzaging line-up. More than 100 minutes of waiting in line. There was a mismatched of two passengers barcodes. We were in the middle of the queue. When they fixed the issue, we were the last group to embark.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The Buffet had many choices for each individual. Unfortunately, many coffee and tea stations were out of services. No more green tea or hot coffee starting from second day. Ustensiles and plates were not properly washed.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were two small pools and three small slides fro young kids. No rock climbing, no zipline. Bowling need to be reserved the previous day and not free. Ping-pong needs yo go somewhere else to reserve for only one hour.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Only the first day Cool show was good. The rest was not.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
The children's program was ok, but not extraordinary. It was a mixed of different age kids in the same room.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
International workers such as the Philippines, Indonesia are the most polite and hard workers.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ok. This is not a new ship of course. It was well maintained, but the exit corridors and stateroom STINK!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room was small for a family of four. Many rooms has drain problem: it was stinky in the corridor and in the bathroom. Luckily, our steward helped us clean our bathroom daily.

Ship tip

If you cannot stand in line waiting for embarking, disembarking or waiting for two stupid long line on their private island, don't cruise with MSC.

Ports of call

Brooklyn, New York

5 out of 5
45$/day, 315$ for this 7 days cruise is quite expensive.

Port Canaveral, Florida

3 out of 5
Lyft and Uber were just waiting for us around the corner.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Very nice and clean within the port. It was scary walking on the street. Nassau was known as a Pirate island: it's totally TRUE with all thosea hungry local sellers and Cabs who try to sell you all short of excursions or drive you to an ugly local beach where there were four mobile toilets with toilet paper!

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

1 out of 5
This was an abandoned island! All around the beach is filled with only sharp sea shells and big rocks. The beach hot, salty and dead water was not good for. Refreshing swimming day. The worst was the two lineup for the Buffet at lunch time that ruined the whole entire cruise experience. Why did MSC make everyone waiting one hour long just to pickup fruits? The manager of this lunch's day must be fired!

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Again, MSC missed completely the organization of how to smoothly disembark all voyagers. 90 minutes to wait in line zigzaging around the ship just to get out. This prove how inefficient Msc to manage all passengers in case of emergency.
