Review summary

Skip this ship. It's not worth it. The ship is not well managed and employees are rude.

Embarkation

It was poor. Very disorganized and once we got on the ship the rooms weren't ready for hours. There was not adequate space for so many people in the common areas. Most passengers bags were soaked because MSC left them in the rain before bringing them onto the ship. Plus one of our bags was lost and never delivered. Around 9 pm we were asking customer service for help and they basically told us there was nothing they could do and that they're not responsible. We eventually started walking the halls from floor to floor and found it laying In front of someone else's cabin.

The food was terrible. Literally nothing was good. All of the food was 50-50 ok and inedible.

Pools were so salty they were very uncomfortable.

The shows were very sad and not well choreographed. Some of the shows were cancelled because of technology Problems. Most of the activities only had room for 20-30 so most people who tried to participate were turned away.

Customer service was terrible. In all my cruise experiences everyone has been super friendly. Not on this ship. Many are very rude and completely unhelpful. We were given kis information several times by different staff members.

Ship is pretty new. Some of the main walkways are kind of narrow for such large crowds.

Size of the room was nice. The TV was very small and placed far from the bed so it was difficult to see. Bathroom was uncomfortably small

Cruise lines DO NOT control terminal operations. The Brooklyn terminal is a hot mess, but that’s not MSC’s fault. MSC wants you on the ship ASAP so you can spend money, and off of it ASAP after you’ve spent it. The rest of your review is completely different than what I experienced two weeks prior to you, but some of it, like food and shows, is subjective. Note not every one of their crew speak English because they’re largely an international focused cruise line. When they don’t understand you, they walk away because, well, they don’t understand you. If you yell at them, they walk faster because, well, they’re human beings and don’t like that.
