For a short cruise I had a really nice time. I will sail msc again but maybe not from port Canaveral. When you have a short weekend cruise and a 3-4 hour boarding delay it really puts a damper on the start of the trip.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
Arrived at 10am as scheduled. They had 2 lines, one for on time check in and one for early check in. Early check in line was huge with so many showing up ahead of their scheduled time. They just merged the two lines at security backing out up. Once checked in I was told to sit and wait for boarding group 10 to be called. After an hour we got announcements about due to the ships late arrival we’re still waiting on customs to clear the ship before boarding can start. We waited in the terminal 3 hours before we could board. Once onboard you could see the huge line stretching outside all the way down and around terminal 10. We departed a little late due to the boarding chaos.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Buffet and MDR comparable to royal. Enjoyed the options available.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Lots to do, never bored. Really loved the entertainment, promenade, and water slides and beautiful pools.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Mainstage show was a little cheesy, however the cirque “rock circus” show in the carousel lounge was fantastic!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff was so accommodating and kind.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Beautiful ship. Even though we sailed at capacity I never felt like I was with 5000 others. Design keeps things spread out. This ship is an Italian beauty.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Loved this cabin, towards the back of the ship but you get a very deep balcony.
Ship tip
Take your food to the back part of the buffet it is a lot less crowded
Very poor embarkation process. Disembarking was better but trying to get your ride is a mess. Uber driver said he hates this port because they charge them to enter and all traffic merges at one point causing backups
Glad you enjoyed it. Ships returning to Port Canaveral are often delayed in the winter time due to fog, which delays the embarkation for the next cruise.
