We had a lot of fun. The ship was beautiful. The staff was outstanding. A lot of time when you go on a vacation you feel like you need to go on a vacation to recover from the vacation. Not this time. New Years on a ship is the way to bring in the new year.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
They had a computer outage that caused a backup and then you add in people trying to board before their assigned time and you have a big wait in the Florida sun. It was 2 1/2 hours from the time we got in line until we were on the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining and buffets were excellent. The specialty dining was way over priced and it was not that good. We purchased the three dinner option. The Butcher Cut was the bright spot. That I would do again. The Sushi was just ok. The Ocean Cay Sea food, was not good and the service was awful. It took 30 minutes just to get water. If we had not pre-paid we would have walked out.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Our objective for the cruise was to relax. Out main activity was to walk from where we were sitting to the bar, or wait a little for the bar service to come by. Plenty of bars and plenty of places to lounge around at.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows and music was what you would expect. The New Years Eve part on the upper deck made us want to book again next year.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was very nice. We did encounter a single person that did not greet us with a smile and provide us with outstanding service.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very beautiful ship. Looks very high end. The ship was spotless.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was perfect. They must have cleaned the cabin three times a day. The bed was very comfortable. Sometimes I have issues with hotel beds. I had no issue with they bed.
Been there, done that, no need to go back kind of place. It is just a port where they built some shops around a swimming pool. We booked the Mayan Ruins excursion. That was something we wanted to do and we are so glad we did it. There is really not much else there.
