This was my first time on the Merivaglia, but my 5th time sailing on MSC. There were 4 of us and the other 3 were new to MSC. We loved everything about it.
Had a wonderful 2 weeks, enjoyed being able to cruise again
Embarkation

We were checked in and on the ship in less than half hour. The only blip was at the very beginning, my friend didn’t have a passport and the lady reviewing her drivers license didn’t recognize that it was an enhanced license and was going to let her enter because she didn’t have her birth certificate. Her supervisor noticed that her license was acceptable and proceeded to let her in…she is going to get a passport now!

Food and Dining

We thoroughly enjoyed our meals in the MDR every night, even the two who are extremely picky eaters. Our waiters were top notch.
Onboard Activities

We had fun at the pool and their poolside activities. Went to several of the trivia games. I think their wasn’t an over abundance of planned activities because there were not the crowds there would have been pre-Covid. Had a good time at the Merivaglia lounge for their Name that Tune in the evenings.
Entertainment

We enjoyed all of the shows that they did at night. Even the second week we went and seen them again.

Cabin / Stateroom

Had a nice balcony room. We had a corner balcony so it was bigger than most the other balconies. We were right by the panoramic elevator which made it nice. We referred to it as our private elevator.
Were at the island 3 days, the 4 day was cancelled because of bad weather. We hung out at the Lighthouse Beach. There were free umbrellas and beanbag chairs Adirondack chairs to use.
Glad you enjoyed it. There seems to be no middle ground with reviews of MSC - people either love it or hate it. I am booked on a solo trip in January for my first time with MSC and will find out which category I am in, lol.
