Review summary

One of the most beautiful ships we’ve been on. The Yacht Club experience made it exceptional and well worth the extra cost.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
As we were traveling Yacht Club, we were escorted to the private lounge where we were offered Champaign and food. We checked in at the lounge and it took less then 5 minutes. They then escorted us onboard. Beautifully done.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The yacht club has its own dining room which was superb. We only ate at 2 specialty dining and they were fine.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
They have many dance classes and the usual array of activities while sailing. Highlight are the water slides though.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Main stage shows are excellent. The extra cost cirque Soliel shows we’re brilliant. Musicians were pretty good in the lounges as well. Multilingual comedians are ok.

Children's Programs

Didn’t bring the kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cants day much about the general staff but those in the yacht club were great. Very attentive, addressed us by name in the restaurant, bars and pool area.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship, well designed and clean. Would be nice to have an outside promenade deck though that went completely around the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We chose the inside cabin because the cost was much lower then the balcony and we wanted to try the yacht club. As we don’t spend much time in the room in worked well for us. The storage space is good for a 7 to 10 day cruise but not so for a 23 day multi weather cruise!

Ports of call

New York, New York

I ❤️NY. Too much to do. Needed 5 days at least.

Bar Harbor, Maine

4 out of 5
Nice first stop, small town with lots of shopping. Beautiful area especially as the season change was taking place

Saint John, New Brunswick

3 out of 5
Nice walkable city with a highlight of a reversible tide. Yup, interesting for 5 minutes.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
Most everything was in walking distance along the waterfront. A bit chilly though.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

2 out of 5
Small town with little to do. Nice people though. Probably better in warmer weather.

Portland, Maine

4 out of 5
It is everything I thought a fishing town would be like. Lots of lobster restaurants.

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
We walked the “trail” starting in the Boston commons. Very busy day at Fanuel hall so not worth the visit, but everything else was wonderful. Stopped at a restaurant called Panza in North Boston which was terrific

Disembarkation

Again as yacht club we were escorted off the ship and immigration was a breeze
