Review summary

Amazing ship with so much to do. Amazing staff. Wonderful shows and awesome entertainment team with so many activities going around. The ports of call were different from anywhere I visited. Loved waking at 2am and finding it bright, amazing. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget and I already miss the ship.

Embarkation

Very smooth embarkation process, within 15 minutes we were on board the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food at the buffet was excellent and never lacking, at all times, even not at meal times, you could find fruits, pizza, hamburgers and dessert. At meals, there is always, different dishes of fish, seafood, pastas, meat, chicken and vegetables. The pizza is freshly made and so yummy. The food at the main dining room was varied also, but was sometimes very good and other times it was average. But they were quick and friendly. My only complaint is that they do not serve free water in the main dining room which I found weird.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
So much to do on the ship, the outdoor pools are wonderful when the weather is good and there are hot tubs also. When the weather was cold we enjoyed a lot the indoor pool with also 4 hot tubs. My kids enjoyed the hymalayan Bridge, which is really fun. My son loves loves football and he spent most of his time at the sportplex, where he met new friends. The fitness center was great with a nice view on both the pool and the sea. There are various machines though sometimes in the early morning it would be full and you have to wait a little while till someone finishes. The polar aqua park was a great place for my kids, though couldn't go there a lot due to the cold weather, however, when used it was a great fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Best entertainment at a cruise ship that I have ever been to. The theater shows were excellent with excellent dancers and singers. There were various performances that varied from opera, rock, Spanish, Italian and even magic. The entertainment team was so friendly and did activities throughout the day, like games, crafts, aerobics, stretching, dancing classes, trivias, kareoky and themed parties every night. There was also master chef at sea. There was also a world challenge at sea days where teams are formed to answer questions about various aspects of the world and at the last sea day the team with the highest marks wins. We also watched the cirque de soliel at sea, (Viaggio) which was really good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff are so friendly and helpful and the they do their best to make each passenger happy. They were very friendly to my kids. Our room steward was always smiling and whenever I asked anything from him he would bring it to me in no time. The room was always clean, neat and never lacking anything.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship, clean and new. There was always a place to sit. Everything was easy to access, I have never had a problem to reach anything. There are screens everywhere in the ship where you can see where you are and how to reach anything. And of course the MSC for Me App is also excellent.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The room was beautiful, comfortable beds and pillows. The size is ample. The only complaint I have is the storage space. I had to put all the clothes above each other since the space was really limited. The room was was a mid room and it was close to the elevator and easy to reach everywhere.

Ship tip

I would cruise again on this ship and for sure with MSC. It is a ship for all seasons. We visited cold places and it was freezing outside but we never felt bored and the indoor pool was a great place to spend time with the kids.

Unfortunately, due to a fire in the tourist information center, we could not find a place in the bus to visit the North Cape. Had only to walk in the town which did not have anything extra to offer.

Geiranger, Norway

Amazing views. Went up the hill on foot and couldn't stop from taking pictures as the view was breath taking all the way.
