Beautiful new ship. Dining & activities (lack thereof) biggest downside.

Smooth & quick. We arrived earlier than embarkation time and had a short wait to be processed through and on to the ship.

Food and Dining

Main dining room was just okay. Not a lot of selections offered and portion sizes were small. Specialty restaurants - we tried Butcher’s Cut, the steakhouse, and the food was good. Because we were given Club Black status (matched our NCL loyalty status) we had 2 free specialty dinners and both were the steakhouse. Buffet was pretty good, lots of selections. However, no iced tea offered with lunch or dinner and you had to pay for bottled water for lunch or dinner - they nickled & dined you to death.
Onboard Activities

Very few onboard activities. Good thing we brought books to read.
Entertainment

Had to make reservations for shows in the one & only theater - Times didn’t coordinate with our early dining time & desire to not stay u late.

Room steward, Dennis, was good. Personnel generally not very friendly.
Ship Quality

Ship was new, clean and beautiful- easy to find your way around. Library (if you could call it that) was just an alcove off a common area with very few books - a real disappointment.
Cabin / Stateroom

We chose an inside cabin & we’re surprised & pleased to find it roomy & pleasing. Biggest complaint was lack of drawers to put clothes in. Bathroom adequate. Decor pleasing.
Ship tip
If you want lots of activities & lots of food, this is not the ship for you. Trying to pre-book excursions & Cirque show prior to cruise a nightmare. MSC web site impossible to navigate & unresponsive.
