Review summary

The cruise was excellent and besides my complaint about low temperatures on deck 5 and 6 I really don't have anything else to say than that the ship is really amazing. I would go on that ship again. I loved it and I really enjoyed my cruise. I loved the ship, I loved the shops, pools, waterslides, everything! I recommend this ship to everyone!

The food was delicious. The lunch was at the buffet maybe a little bit dull; it was basically the same food every day, and not enough chicken meat. Otherwise the food was really good.

Onboard Activities

Cirque du Soleil was amazing, the shows in the theatre aswell. White party was a big success.

Entertainment

The entertainment was good. I think it was just one evening that there was no party (except for the live music in the bars but that's really not a party).

The ship was AMAZING. I especially liked the promenade on deck 6.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was maybe a bit smaller than on my previous cruise (MSC Fantasia, balcony cabin), but it was okay. I especially liked the bath tub in the bathroom (I liked it more than a shower).

Ship tip

On our cruise (9. - 16. July 2017) there was no Italian night, instead of that we had Mediterranean night. The dress code was casual. On deck 5 and 6 the temperature was really low. I was cold all the time on those two decks. MSC for me is a really useful app and I recommend that you all download it. The 4D cinema was awesome! The waterslides were great. We tried the crepes at the promenade and they were really delicious.

We booked an excursion via MSC Excursions. We visited Pompeii and they were truly fascinating. I really recommend you to visid Pompeii, you won't regret it!

We didn't do any excursions here. We bought a ticket for a hop on-hop off bus so we saw the most important highlights of Messina.

We discovered Valletta by foot. We went to the city centre with a lift.

We went to the Barcelona Aquarium by ourselves. It took us about 25 minutes by foot to reach it. The aquarium was good, but I liked the aquarium in Genoa better.

we had two elegant nights (gala evening) and one mediterranean nights. I was surprised aswell since we had many more theme nights on previous MSC cruises. For the daily: I'm sorry but I only have one, if that's any help let me know and I'll picture it and send it to you.

Well we have different tastes. I liked the food and I'm a picky eater, so I think that everyone will find something. As I read other reviews food was the biggest issue.

I would have to say you are happy with the MSC Meraviglia. Glad your cruise went well. You did some historic excursions too. Some day I will get back to the Med.
