Answer QuestionA: @ericasusie...for gratuities. The cost is $16 per day depending on what type of cruise you go on with MSC.

A: Relating your question about the massages: Yes, there too are all tips already included in the price of the massage. However I’ve always tried to find a place and time where I could give the crew members who were very helpful and kind a tip. But you... have to be aware of the crew-overwatching personal. If they see that you give them a tip, they’ll probably take the tip away.See More

A: Yes, normally all tips and fees are already included in the package prize. The Crew is normally not allowed to accept your tips anyway and if you give a tip they need to give it to there supervisor. It will then be splitter to all crew.

A: no additional tips..they 20% service charge is built in.

A: Thanks Noah. That’s a bummer, love to reward the people who go the extra mile! Does that mean tips are also included for massages?
Answered by Bambinos on May 1, 2024
A: I was told on the phone that are NO additionnal service charges.
Answered by Bambinos on April 27, 2024
A: Thank you! I appreciate all the tips! Can’t wait for June!
Answered by Bambinos on May 2, 2024
A: You're welcome Bambinos. Just for additional information, the first group of people you come across are Port Authority personnel. The people at the line scan units work for DHS. They are looking for contraband (firearms, knives, and drugs) not snac... ks or water. The airports look for water because bombs can be made of liquid. At any given port you can walk back on the ship with snack food, water and soda for personal use. But not fresh fruit/vegetables or raw fish/meat.People who have medical needs juice/water or meds and mothers need to make milk from powdered Enjoy your cruise.See More

A: @bambinos...at that port you can bring on water for personal use ONLY. That means going through security with one small/medium size water for personal use and snacks. Not a case of water. The people in the MSC customer service office has no idea what... the guidelines are at the ports. They can't prevent you from having water or snacks since there's none in the waiting area or they will end up with a lawsuit. Anywhere that prohibits water they're talking about CASES of water.See More

A: Of the five lines we have been on, including MSC, the only one I know that allows you to bring on water, and at that time (2023) you could bring a case, was Royal Caribbean.
Answered by BnCTcruising on April 26, 2024
A: For personal use, (not a stockpile) it's ok. And it depends on the port actually. They don't want people bringing on cases of drinks.
Answered by Skooby on April 26, 2024
A: Per the MSC website, Non-alcoholic drinks, such as water, soda and juices, are prohibited to be brought on board either as carry- on or checked luggage on both embarkation and port days. Please feel free to confirm with MSC. Phone: 877-665-4655Webs... ite: msccruisesusa.comSee More

A: You CAN bring bottled water for personal use. I was told this from port security at Meraviglia and brought some through security and onboard because waiting in that crowded waiting room with no food/water was ridiculous. I always bring at least water... when I'm boarding a ship. Certain ports (Dubai and Doha) you can bring on liquor too for your MSC cabin from airport (Dubai)and port duty free (Doha)with your luggage, or with the shopping bag where you purchased it.Water doesn't need to be sealed.See More

A: Download the MSC app anytime before embarking and when you're on the ship you can communicate through that app.

Q: Hello, has anyone who has been in Nassau lately walked from the ship through the new port shopping area to senor frogs but walked along the new water walkway? we do not want to walk in the street. We are wondering if if we can walk along the water to get to senor frogs? it looks like there is a new walkway along the water?

Q: I’ve never been on a cruise before. I don’t understand the resort for a day excursion when there’s so much to do on the cruise ship. What experiences do you get with doing a resort for the day!

A: Great question. I’ve asked myself that while being at a Resort for a Day. Staying on a ship when in port is pretty cool so unless the Resort description sounds really good, staying on your first cruise ship is a good choice. If you’re bored of the sh... ip then the Resort gives you a chance to stretch out and use a big pool, nice beach, etc. Resort food is usually not as good as the ship food.See More

A: Yes. Many times with no issues. They usually have less people going on them and are a lot cheaper (I’m talking to Royal in particular with tha).
Answered by TheVegasSphere on January 22, 2024
A: yes, and they have to wait also so they are a reliable booking engine . if you are late on getting to the ship, the ship cannot leave without you
Answered by Teamstrong on January 24, 2024
A: Depends upon what you like to do. We’ve gone on catamaran, ATV, and zip line excursions with them in St. Maarten, Cozumel, and elsewhere. All the ones we’ve been on were comparable to Carnival, MSC, and Royal excursions. I know you didn’t ask abou... t this, but we’ve also booked through resortforaday several times with no issues at all if hanging at a resort is your interest. The only time we had a problem with them is when we were in St. Kits right after Covid reopening and the resort’s casino wasn’t open though it was advertised. One email to them and they refunded half our money. So you may want to check them out too.See More

Q: Can we bring our own baby bottle warmer onto the ship? I’ve read from the MSC website that the babies club will allow you to rent baby bottle warmers to use in the cabins.

Q: Hi! Sailing out of NYC on 12.23… can’t believe it’s 9 days away. Is there a dressy/formal night and if so, how many? Thanks in advance!

A: Should be two, usually on the second and sixth nights. But that could change with Christmas occurring on the third day, as they'll probably have a special menu and festivities that night.
Answered by cmressler on December 13, 2023
A: Hi Fellow cruiser! Yes, they have a formal night, and also a “White Night” party. But, the rest of the nights cruisers are doing a going out to dinner & show “evening casual”. You’re doing the Christmas & I’m on the New Year’s Eve cruise the follo... wing week. I was told by my MSC agent that they have special celebrations on holiday cruises. Last year I did the New Year’s Eve cruise w/ Norwegian & it was a blast! Now I’m hooked! I hope your cruise is amazing!! Have a very Merry Christmas & Happy Cruising 🤩⚓️😎❣️‼️See More

Q: Taking the 12/23 cruise out of Brooklyn and after completing the check-in process we were assigned a 2:30 boarding time. But the ship's departure time is listed as 3:00. Can that possibly be correct to have a boarding time so close to departure? Or is 3:00 more like the all-aboard time with the departure closer to 4:00?

Q: What is the earliest time that you can show up and park your car at the pier in Brooklyn?

A: I was at the port by 8 am and there were plenty of cars there. There's people disembarking off the ship before then that parked there days before and people entering the port early to embark. That particular ship disembarks starting at 7am.And by t... he way it's better to arrive by 8am to be in the first group to embark no matter what your scheduled time is as nobody ask you about the time on your documents.See More

Q: I heard that they started charging five dollars in the main dining room if you want a second entrée. Also, I believe in the yacht club you can still have as many entrées as you want. and will not be charged extra.

A: The extra charge is for "certain" dishes. They can advise you on the list of basic dishes that are not included in the extra charge. I believe there's a classic menu of dishes you can request more than one and not be charged.
Answered by Skooby on November 21, 2023
A: Wow, thanks for sharing. If that’s the case, just take a walk to the buffet up on deck 15, for a quick bite nite-cap, pizza, dessert, soup, salads & bar service has beers, wine & juices. You can also have a cup of tea if preferred. Unfortunately,... the cream bar shuts down at 7:00 pm. Happy cruising 🤩⚓️😎❣️‼️See More
