Great question. I’ve asked myself that while being at a Resort for a Day. Staying on a ship when in port is pretty cool so unless the Resort description sounds really good, staying on your first cruise ship is a good choice. If you’re bored of the ship then the Resort gives you a chance to stretch out and use a big pool, nice beach, etc. Resort food is usually not as good as the ship food.
