Great trip, low occupancy, safe by jasminab

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Overall great value, good short trip We will probably do it again soon, we won’t waste time on visiting Nassau. Really bad, didn’t enjoy island at all.

Boring and bland by michaelyearwood

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Out of 8 cruises this was by far the worst. MSC is boring and cheap. You get little for what you spend. We better options.

Good return to cruising, first time on MSC by kweenkmatt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

MSC is one of those cruise lines that tends to be polarizing - people generally either really love it or really hate it. I can kind of see why. The Euro-flavor isn't for everyone. Our experience was neither of those. It was ok and not terrible - but it wasn't overly amazing like our sailings on Cunard have been. The cruise line appeals to families and the average American cruiser. I know that MSC have been working since 2012 to get into the North American market. Having said that, we think we'd prefer sailing MSC in Europe with a full-on European experience and were a little disappointed at the lengths to which they've tried to Americanize the cruise experience, as we were hoping for more of a European flavor cruise. The Mediterranean menu is there - and we appreciated that. For us, MSC will be a cruise line that we'll consider when we want a quikkie weekender short cruise at a budget-y price point. I felt that it was a little nicer (food/ship) than Carnival - but to be fair, I haven't been on Carnival in 7 years, so they may have gotten better since then. We generally choose traditional lines like HAL, Cunard, and Celebrity - less family oriented, more mature clientele. We were very happy to be back sailing since Covid, and this was an opportunity for a dry-run cruise in preparation for a much longer sailing we have booked in December.

This was one of the best cruise experiences I’ve had in a long time. Ship was clean and nice. Staff was courteous and friendly. Ship was extremely smooth!!! Thanks to all the MSC Staff and crew. by JoesE350

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Divina

This was our first experience with MSC. We have always sailed Royal or Celebrity and thought we would give this a try as an alternative line. We were blown away by the staff and crew. They were courteous and friendly. It is definitely worth a try. You won’t be disappointed.

MSC Divina by FatDreams

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina

This was a great cruise for a great price. We wanted to take this cruise to get our sea legs back after not being on a ship in over 2 years. We enjoyed all the crew, the food, our beautiful cabins for the people that we met!!

Not what I expected or hoped for. by masellar

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Generally Cruise Director/Staff did not give a lot of information. i.e. at private island lunch buffet was not open on 1st day, no reason or announcement was made prior to getting off ship. on 2nd day there it was open. Not a lot of organized on-board activities while we were at sea.

Didn’t wait in line, fast onboarding, their island rocks, dark sky experience was great but wear bug spray, yacht club made this trip outstanding. We will have to do another cruise in regular balcony next time!

First cruise back. Cheap, short cruise to test the waters. Masks suck, having few people on board is great.

This was our first time on MSC. We enjoyed it, but their customer service and website are terrible. They need to up that game and keep up with other lines.
