Review summary

I got to experience MSC for the first time through a travel agent program. So the price was right. I heard the mixed reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. I had a really good time.

I had an Aurea balcony so I was able to do priority boarding

Food and Dining

The in the main dining room was your typical food just like the other cruiselines. The food at the buffet was good it was European. If you are not a fan of different types of food you probably will not like msc buffet

Onboard Activities

I didn't participate in the on board activities. It was a short cruise and I mostly used the spa. I was there to relax.

Service and Staff

Everyone I met was nice and hospitable.

Ship Quality

The ship is older showing signs of wear in some areas. Everything was clean. The layout was different. I was lost most of the time but I found things that interested me on the way

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was very spacious and clean.

Ship tip

I enjoyed my first MSC cruise. If you are not open to other cultures this may not be the cruise for you. It is different than the American cruise lines. Not bad just different. It is definitely an Italian brand.

Disembarkation

It was very confusing at first. We were being sent to the wrong floor. I had to carry my luggage up an down 2 flights of stairs. The communication with the staff was messy

Thanks for sharing, I've been on 3 MSC cruises, and we are going in 40 days on the Divina. So we really enjoy MSC. Haven't seen most of the complaints people have had with them.

I too was introduced to MSC through a travel agent program. Been on 4 of them. The Divina was my favorite though!
