Review summary

We only booked with MSC because our friends we’re already booked. We did enjoy our time with friends, but that was it. We didn’t enjoy our time onboard the Divina. Food was mediocre at best . We had an extra sea day because of poor weather conditions. I expected MSC would have provided extra actives to do on that day. I don’t see myself booking for a MSC cruise anytime soon.

Embarkation

We arrived late 3:30 pm. Walked right on.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
We ate breakfast in the MDR once. My party said the grits and coffee came out lukewarm at best. I never received the grape juice that I requested. Portions were also small. Ate dinner once in the MDR. It was the best meal we had on the ship. Dinner was served quickly. Same breakfast food each dayI the buffet. They didn’t make made to order omelets in the buffet. Only had bananas once. The pizza got progressively worse each day. A little too salty...even for me.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Not enough options, especially since we had poor weather and lost a day at the private Island.

Entertainment

Didn’t go to a stage show. Only ship I’ve been on that that didn’t have at least one Comedian on board. Not enough variety on the ship.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Took a day and a half to find out who our room steward was. We had to look for him. On other cruise lines they introduce themselves the first evening. Room wasn’t supplied with wash cloths. That’s why we went looking for him or her. Our only request was to supply ice each evening. He only filled the ice chest once. We even told him we only need one cleaning each day, not two. Making his job a little less daunting.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The smallest cabin I’ve ever booked. Cabin wasn’t even big enough for a couch. TV was very small.

Ship tip

MSC wanted to charge 58.00 dollars per day, per guess for a service fee. So be aware. That’s outrageous, especially for the service they provide.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Been many times. Caught a taxi to the fish fry. Enjoyed lunch there.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

Beautiful Island. Lunch was subpar. The only options for free beverages for your lunch was grapefruit juice and the nasty water. So basically MSC made you buy soda or alcohol to have with your lunch.

Disembarkation

Went smoothly
