Review summary

You get what you pay for. And I’m not sure two grand more for yacht club would have made the difference. Crowds. Kids. Pushing. Small spaces. Nowhere to walk. No thanks.

Embarkation

It was good. Busy as expected. We did everything online. Went fine.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
That’s a lot of info. Overall. You get what you pay for. They obviously push you to buy specialty dining. Overall. Crowded. Small ship. No promo ads at all. Very limited walking space for exercise. Cruise staff. Fabulous as expected. Entertainment was great. Ship is pretty. But. We won’t likely be on another MSC.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Crowded pool and any walkable spaces with people literally just laying on the ground, everywhere. Gym was mediocre. Restaurant was fair. But. They force you to stick with this time they put you. No changes allowed. And they sat us at 9:30pm! So. We did that twice. It’s too late.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Cher performer was absolutely amazing! Wow. The test. Bla. Really the same people dancing and kinda singing. Reguardless the “name” of the show. Not sure why one was graffitti and another extreme? They were the same people, really about the same backgrounds. Boring. And! I’m very sure some of the singers have never really listened or heard songs from true rock legends. Totally different when Susie sings Bon Jovi. Not the same. Oh! And they changed the words. One song “God lift us up where we belong”. You know the love ballet. No. They would not use that word. Sounded horrible. Very glad they did not charge for any shows! Although on the schedule it says they will!

Children's Programs

While there was a number of families and small kids screaming and strollers and the adult pool inundated with kids and families. We did not have anyone else with us. So. We did NOT enjoy the solarium nor the hot tubs because yet again, everything was too crowded.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Of course. Staff works so hard.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout was horrible. Warning for anyone who may have a stability issue. Uneven surfaces all over. Steps everywhere. Scooters in hallways, why? Because they could not fit in some doors!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was fine. Smokers outside somewhere ruined it for us to really enjoy the balcony. Reported it repeatedly. Thru did nothing.

Ship tip

Trip hazards and uneven surfaces.

Ports of call

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Cartagena, Colombia

Omg. 1000 ants. Limping on you. That was the experience in the streets outside pressuring you to buy stuff.

Colon, Panama

I love PC. Glad they had simple shuttle to city center.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

5 out of 5
Probably one of the best ports I’ve been to in awhile. Quiet. Shops were full of bargains and nice people. But. MSc parked so far away? Did they not pay the fair for parking or something.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

Disembarkation

Horrible. We always carry our own luggage and walk off. Took almost three hours! To just walk off. This line was very disorganized.
