This was my 4th MSC cruise in the last 12 months and 3rd on Divina since October. All were very good, but this time was excellent, primarily because of people I met and the group at my table. We did many things together and had a great time.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Fastest embarkation ever. Arrived at 10:40 for an 11:00 scheduled boarding and was at the buffet at 10:55.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I found the selection and quality of food at the dining room and buffet to be good to excellent. The only thing I ordered that I did not like was the coconut tapioca pudding. Butcher’s Cut was excellent.
Black Crab Restaurant
5 out of 5
I ate here for breakfast and lunch a few times and the food was very good. I was assigned to the Villa Rosa Dining Room for dinner and thought the selection and quality was very good to excellent. The service was a little slow, but I had great table mates, so we had lots of great conversations between courses.
Butcher's Cut
5 out of 5
Everything was excellent.
Calumet Buffet
4 out of 5
Lots of variety and good quality for a buffet. The pizza is excellent.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I did not participate in a lot of the scheduled activities other than a few music trivia games, but did see plenty of options available.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
There was always something going on each evening, with multiple music options around the ship, the main theater show, deck parties, the late night disco, etc.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Other than the dining staff being a little slow, I had no issues with the service. My cabin steward was excellent. Those that had the drink package said bar service was hit or miss and could take a while.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I love the design of the ship and found it to be very clean. I saw employees cleaning hand rails, elevators, etc. every time I left my cabin.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Very spacious, clean and had a larger balcony than many of the cabins.
