Review summary

Our seventh cruise on Divina. It’s a quiet relaxing ship with a kind of Celebrity like atmosphere. Clean and well maintained. Excellent service, an overall great value

Embarkation

Quick and organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Butchers Cut is an excellent specialty restaurant. Don’t laugh, but I’d go again for the beet salad. The view from the Galaxy Specialty restaurant is great. The tempura was amazing. Main dining room service and food was good too. And don’t miss the pizza, or the warm cookies that appear in the buffet after 10;pm

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We are not much for activities so nothing to add here

Entertainment

5 out of 5
My rating is based on the quality and variety of musicians in the lounges They were great. And someone was always playing

Service and Staff

They were very good.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Stunning atrium with the crystal staircases. Ship is very clean. Layout is quirky because two of the three main dining rooms are positioned midship so on decks five and six, you can’t walk straight through the ship’s public areas. The lounges are laid out well with no music bleed through

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Biggest balcony I’ve had in 52 cruises. It’s an aft balcony with great view. Cabin is standard

Ship tip

If you are a stair climber there are open air staircases on both the port and starboard sides of the ship aft. Great views.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Easy port to cruise from. Cocoa Beach has great restaurants and several hotel options close to the terminal

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

5 out of 5
After 52 cruises, Ocean Cay is my favorite of the private islands. Although I haven’t been to Disney’s. That said it is for beach lovers. There are no water parks or zip lines. And It is a work in progress. MSC is restoring a barren cay into something very nice. The overnight stay and lighthouse show is fun

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
When only one ship is in and that ship is 1/3 full, the port area is okay.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Don’t like docking downtown.

Disembarkation

A breeze
