The cruise was relaxing and fun, with a variety of options for activities on and off the ship. The food was pretty good most of the time. The bar service was something to be desired especially the bars on deck. The service was slow and the drink were not mixed very well if at all. The menus were confusing trying to figure out which things were included in which package. The premixes we all very watery and tastless. The drinks were always served in what appeared to be kids drink glasses or water glasses rather than in what would be considered an appropriate glass for the drink. For example the daquiris should have been serves in the daquiri (ice cream sunday) shaped glasses not a water glass. The servers in the restaurants and lounges were great, keeping track of people and what you were drinking and checking in when drinks were low not wating until they were empty.
Embarkation

The computer system went down as we were checking in so we had to wait a decently long time to complete check in.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The main dining room food was good about 90% of the time, there were a few not so good items or meat under cooked. We chose not to try the specialty dining. The buffet was mostly good, with some tastless and some not so good dishes. The food was definately not as good as Royal Caribbean or Disney cruises that I have been on in the past.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The pools were ok, but drained a lot of the time. The dance classes were fun, but usually up on the deck in the hottest part of the day which made them less desireable, The craft class was ok, but they ran out of materials so we had to do a different thing, the thermal area was nice, but they had many technical difficulties during our time on board and the mens and womens areas are segregated even though clothing was required and many people were traveling with a significant other and wanted to sit together, so coed would have been preferred. There were quite a few activities and shows we would have liked to go to; however they were only offered once and they were in the middle of our reserved dinner time so we could not make them. It would have been nice if there were at least two times for each offering so no matter when you had dinner scheduled you could participate.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The comedian was funny, but had only one show we could attend due to our dinner schedule. The bands in all of the bars and lounges were great. A wide variety. We especially enjoyed Russ Clark's performances in the Cantina and the Brazillian band who played in the Black and White lounge.
Children's Programs
No kids with us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward Gomes Marlon was great, he was very responsive and quickly remedied any issues or requests we had. Our servers in the main dining room Agung and Ratna were awesome. They anticipated our needs and wants, made wonderful recommendations, and were personable getting to know us and letting us get to know them. They were amazing the whole time and missed us the one night we did not attend dinner.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship was relatively easy to navigate and the signs provided easy directions to find what we were looking for. The ship was clean in most places; however there were a few bathrooms that we not attended to very well, running out of toilet paper and paper towels, as well as having broken glass and other trash items skattered about. The behind the scenes tour was great and the galleys and bridge were both spotless.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The size was good, the shower was small and seemed to leak, the balcony was great, the tables and desk were the right amount for what we needed. The bed however was extremely uncomfortable leading to both of us having back pain we did not have prior to coming. much less comfortable than on every other cruise I've been on. The floor was slightly damp all the time too, so not sure what happened, or if that was part of the cleaning and the humidity presented an issue.
The beaches were nice and clean and the water was clear. The water did have some sort of stinging bug, creature, sea lice or something that made it stingy and hard to stay in the water for long. We did not get to go on our snorkel excursion to see the sunken ship, due to a storm. We did not however receive a cancellation notification until we went to check in at the meeting spot. It would have been nice to have more advanced notice. The island was not laid out the best and seemed to take us out of our way to obtain rental equipment. The bars were okay. The lighthouse was fun to see from the top as well as the light show. This is the only cruise I have bee on that stayed in one port for more that one day. Not sure what the point of that was. I would have rather stopped at another different port.
The port was easy to navigate and had some shopping that felt safe and secure. The excursion to Chichiban ruins, was amazing. Our tour guide Danial Balam Balam, was inciteful and made the experience fun. Our bus drive was good as well getting us safely to and from the port.
The port is set up just like going to any downtown anywhere in the USA. Very touristy and no culture. Don't like this port. The excursion we went on was fantastic. We went off roading through the jungle to the crystal cave cenote where we were able to swim and jump off the cliff side into the cenote. The guides were very good about ensuring safety and fun.
