Review summary

We may give MSC another try, but only if we can sail on a larger ship with a bigger balcony room.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The dining rooms were nice, and the buffets were plentiful. The food in the dining room was 3-star and so was the buffet.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Casino and theatre were good.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Stage shows were for the most part good. Comedian was fair.

Children's Programs

We had no kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters were very attentive, and our room steward (Osmond?) was the very best.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Long and skinny design makes navigation throughout the ship difficult. Seemed clean, however my wife contracted Covid on our last night of our cruise. Not pleasant as I contracted it from her 3-days later.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was a comfortable room with good storage but not very large. It was the smallest balcony cabin that we have ever sailed on, including RCL and NCL.

Ship tip

Spend several first hours before you leave port to learn how to get around. It will be much easier than when everyone is moving about.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
We've been to Nassau numerous times. The walk from the ship to the entry is very long.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Excellent. Very nice water and beaches. Saw much wildlife and it was a full day.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The luggage porter made leaving a snap. He got us through Customs and to our vehicle in no time at all.

Thank you for taking the time to share your cruise with us. Glad you had a good time. We were in an accesssible cabin on the Divina and the balcony was the biggest I have ever had.

You will not a bigger balcony on MSC unless you upgrade to a suite!

Glad you enjoyed most of it. The standard cabins in MSC ships tend to be smaller than those on other ships, especially when compared to Carnival.
