@Retired Ray - I was on MSC in January and can guess why they rated some things 2 Star. The main theater entertainment was 2 different singers with recorded music background & a comedian who did 2 shows each. There was no orchestra, dancers, production shows, etc. Not sure if this is normal or reduced due to Covid. I enjoyed the shows and don’t really care for the typical shows on Royal Caribbean / Carnival, but many do. There was also a great band most nights in the secondary theater on my cruise. The MSC ships aren’t floating amusement / water parks and have 18 hour per day scheduled activities (which I consider a plus). They do have nice pools, a water slide, sports court, bowling, F1 racing simulator, spa, etc., but may seem lacking if someone is used to the larger ships of Royal Caribbean, Carnival & NCL.
