We really enjoyed the ports of call, unfortunately we went to Belize City instead of Cayman Islands because of Covid. That was the worst port I’ve ever been to, once you leave the shiny shops it’s nothing but poverty.
Embarkation

It went quite quickly, they are still doing Covid-19 testing before you board.

Food and Dining

The food has definitely changed from our last cruise with MSC. The dining room meals were like diet portion sizes and not hot. We were originally assigned early seating and after we got checked in noticed they had us set to eat at 8:30 pm. We are 55+ from Florida, we never eat that late at night. When I tried to remedy the situation it was more trouble than it was worth. So, we ended up eating all meals in the Calumet buffet.
All I can say is if I eat pork one more night I will oink! They have definitely let their menu slide down hill.
Black Crab Restaurant

Food was not hot, and portions were the size of something from Weight Watchers.
Calumet Buffet

Menu has definitely gone down hill.
Onboard Activities

The pools and the whirlpools were wonderful when not over run with kids.
Entertainment

The shows were fantastic, very well executed! We really enjoyed the different music venues throughout the ship.
Pantheon Theatre

Great musicals!
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The wait staff in the Calumet were the most hard working and wonderful people I’ve ever met! The last two nights we ate dinner in the buffet some of the staff played guitar and sang. Our room steward was pretty much invisible except the last day. Our room was kept clean but he never inquired if we ever need anything.
Ship Quality

You need a map to find your way around the ship. The design is very 50’s retro glamour. We really enjoyed the different pictures about the foreign film stars. Very clean and well kept.
Cabin / Stateroom

Nice comfortable bed, clean bathroom and a nice balcony. Don’t get excited about the tv unless you only want to watch the Food channel or the ship’s channels. Forget the mini bar, they emptied it since Covid.
Ship tip
Don’t book your shore excursions through them, too expensive, use TripAdvisor or Expedia instead. Also, take your own water bottle,$6.00 for a bottle of water is outrageous.
We spent the day at Chankanaab park snorkeling and laying on the beach. They have an unbelievable botanical park with ruins in them and beautiful plants, absolutely beautiful pools and fish! Try the handmade margarita in the pottery cup (souvenir) it is delicious!! Be cautious of the tequila tour, it is very expensive to buy. They also have dolphin and sea lion shows.
Took the Taste of Nassau food tour and it was fabulous! Our guide Mark was very informative and he took us to some very delicious and out of the way places. Only bummer was the mandatory mask wearing everywhere.
Went on the glass bottom boat tour and snorkel trip. I highly recommend this trip! We seen some beautiful reefs and sea life. Our captain and guide were very helpful with those who had never been snorkeling and they love the environment.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The Divina is a beautiful ship, our only complaint was the food, cold and bland (reminded me of being in a hospital).
Thanks for the review! I know a lot of people think Carnival is low class, but, we always saw our room steward, staff is always great, the rooms are always clean, and comfortable, and the food is pretty darn good! You might try them, or one of the cruiselines owned by them.
