Review summary

This is our 2nd time on MSC, the first being Seaside. We preferred Seaside much better than Divina. I would not sail aboard Divina again. The biggest complaint I have is the fact we were not told about it being a vegan cruise. The ship catered to these passengers much more than the regular crowd, which inconvenienced us quite a bit. This definitely leaves a sour taste in my mouth with MSC

Embarkation

Not bad, they were having computer issues, so it was a little slow

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Buffet was very poor, overall. Not much variety, food was cold alot, especially at breakfast. Pasta station at lunch was nice. Main dining was just ok, service was fantastic thanks to Fredy Orellana and Ernest Keinian! Bars were disappointing, only a handful of bartenders knew what they were doing. The best one was Kevin Gonzales! Very poor beer selection, and I even had the premium drink package

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Only tried the pool, it was very cold

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Entertainment at night was disappointing. Shows were very cheesy and hard to follow/understand. The exception was the last night, which featured acrobatics.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The service we received from Fredy Orellana, Ernest Keinian, and Kevin Gonzales was outstanding! The rest was just ok.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very well maintained and very clean

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This was NOT a balcony, it was interior. The room was a little small, but it was ok

Ship tip

We booked this cruise months ago, and did not find out till we boarded that it was a Holistic Holiday at Sea Vegan Cruise!! 2500 vegans on board! The 1500 regular passengers were moved to the late dining regardless of what we had requested! It was a huge inconvenience for us, and we wish we had known ahead of time

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Miami is great! We didn't do an excursion here

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Loved Old San Juan! Everyone was super nice and the sightseeing was great! We did not do an excursion because we didn't arrive at port til 4pm

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
St Maarten is absolutely beautiful! Loved everything about it. We did a half day catamaran ride and snorkel trip, which was awesome! Leroy and his friends were super nice to us on the boat, would definitely do again!

St. John's, Antigua

3 out of 5
Kinda scary, would not want to walk around alone. We took a 20 min cab to a Resort for a Day experience at the Starfish Jolly resort. It was just ok, beer was hot, service was not friendly

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth, with the exception of the idiot passengers that don't pay attention to directions

I don't know why they couldn't serve both vegan and non vegan meals at every dining time. Glad you got to enjoy a lot of your cruise anyway.
