i was given status match with MSC over a year ago and i thought id try them out.. i was very disappointed in this cruise.. i have taken over 30 cruises as an adult and this one was by far the worst. the staff is rude, incompetent and basically doesnt really care that the ship is dirty and that nothing works on the ship. although it was several hundred dollars cheaper than carnival or norwegian for the same itinerary, i would not recommend MSC. pay the extra money and go on a carnival cruise where you will have much more fun, way better service and activities

never had a hot meal.. the food was poor and always lukewarm. the service was subpar and extremely slow.. dinner always took over 2 hours. the water was room temperature, no ice ever not even in the ice tea. shrimp cocktail tasted like it was frozen for several months. the bread was always cold and hard.. would have to wait for 15 to 20 minutes for a refill on ice tea/water. the selection of items on the menu were basically the same every single night.. no variety at all.. the past was always overcooked.. and this is supposed to be an italian cruise line..
Onboard Activities

the ship was a joke.. everthing was broken.. the bowling alley, more than 1/2 the hottubs and saunas and steam rooms were broken, the 4d theater was broken. also the tv in the room didnt work the Entire trip... the only channels were their sales channels on loop and a channel that showed the same 2 movies on continuous 24/7 loop for the entire 11 days. And the staff didnt give a crap at all

very limited stage shows.. no comedians at all.. the dj was lame and played the same old music every night.. wouldnt take requests for any modern top 40 hit

the majority of the staff barely speaks english and the service was sub par. spend a little more money and go on carnival or royal caribbean. MSC cruiseline staff is rude, condescending and just plain dumb

it was like being in a maze.. the floors were just hallways and the pool deck is poorly designed.. more than 2/3 of it is shaded.. there isnt anywhere to lay out unless you pay to be in the voyagers club which is more than twice the price and the pools are like deck 13 and above and they railing are so low and since its so high up its very windy.
Cabin / Stateroom

nice sized cabin, however the cabin steward was horrible.. didnt even see her until day 3.. never got ice as i requested.. i wasnt given ship information or my diamond perks by her on time so i missed all the free drinks and parties as im guessing she doesnt understand and cant read english. was very unhappy with the service. the shower had very low water pressure and the soap and shampoo dispenser was broken. it took them 6 or 7 days to replace it.. good think i brought my own shampoo and body wash
