Heard from others in our group, who were on other MSC ships, that the other ships were much better overall for long cruises.
Embarkation

Very efficient and quick process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Food chooses and options were fine for perhaps a five day cruise. For this twelve day cruise the food became boring and limited. We had a party of ten for main dining (our family group); but we were crushed together at a table for eight. Other than the main dining room and buffet areas, there was no real other chooses as to were to eat. The pay for your own food restaurants were a more cafes and had same food as dinning/buffet areas. We had early sitting, and may due to our group of ten, the service was slow; and we always felt rushed to finish before the second sitting was coming in.
Drink plan (all you could drink) was both great and disappointing. Great in that you could drink and not have the usual high drink charges. And Great in that there were no obvious abuses by other passengers getting druck. Disappointing in that they have limited options as to what was included in the package, and seemed to run out of the ‘better’ or preferred wines early in the trip. Disappointing in the overall drink set up, were in our particular case we ordered wine for dinner, and was told they were out of that wine. Only to find it available at other bar set ups on board. Overall this happened frequent enough that when we were told at one location that some drink was out on the boat, we would tell the. Were to go get it for us. This was especially disappointing in the main dining room were this frequently happened.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
This was not of interest to us, but from what we could hear the avaerage person on board seem to fell this was fine or normal.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
Having been on many other cruise ships, the entertainment was very disappointing. Essentially the same show each night with a different theme. Either the sound system or the singers were bad enough that you could bearly make out the words they were singing.
For a ship of this size, it was very disappointing!
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
As in cruises we have taken there is always a mix of great and terrible service people on board. The great ones we repeated interacted with fortunately out numbered the terrible service people we e perienced here and there. In all fairness the terrible one’s seemed to be in areas were they appeared to be overworked or fustrated from perhaps earlier events or interaction with other passengers.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Found the ship to be clean and once you get the lay of the land, easy to get around and experience.
Excellent experience, because we were only ship docked at that time. Was advised by others in our group who were there before, that if two or more ships are there at same time the location becomes overcrowded. Thus feels less comfortable/enjoyable.
Thank you for your review. I am cruising on the Divina in Dec. a little worried over the mixed reviews. Some people love it and some hated it. After looking at some of the dining room menus online, I am most concerned about the nightly dining options. I will hope for the best. On a positive note from all the pics I have seen...the ship looks beautiful.
