Review summary
My wife and I are travel agents and we were celebrating our anniversary so we wanted to try a different cruise line to be able to give our clients feedback if they wanted to try MSC, We cruise all the time on Royal, Carnival and Celebrity. The Divina ship is nice. It is a newer ship so the layout is nice. Ship embarkation and disembarkation was smooth and quick. We were upgraded to a balcony because we are agents and happened to get a handicap room, which is the larger of the balcony rooms. Our room attendant was great and kept our room clean all the time. That was the good. Now for the bad. The ship has a very small pool for a ship that has a capacity of over 4300. The exercise room is small and very little equipment for a ship that size also. The entertainment was ok. During the daytime at sea, the entertainment is poor. The first couple of nights, the shows were not that interesting unless you were Italian. I understand that this is a Italian cruise line, however you have to cater to all of the people, not just one group. The last 3 nights, the entertainment was great. Now for the ugly. The food is terrible. It was cold 80 % of the time. I say that because my diet for the week ended up being pizza and that was about the only food that was hot. Our service for the 2 nights we went to the dining room was bad. Our waiter never introduced himself to us, nor interacted with us. We complained and the Maitre D - Geru, took us up to the Yacht club for dinner the last night. The food and service was great there. Overall, we would not pay to go on another cruise with MSC,
