Review summary

Monarch of the Seas touts herself as the "Friendliest Ship in the Fleet," and it is so true. The benefits of a smaller ship are having the crew remember you and your preference, less time spent exploring; more time spent relaxing.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
What a nice mixture of exotic foods.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Dancers and singers were great, comedian was funny, Battle of the Sexes and especially the Quest were hilarious. Belly flop and sexy man contests were fun to watch, too.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Always friendly - it seemed there were even more crew members than usual on hand to give directions, fill your coffee...

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout is very easy to navigate. There are places all over the ship that are quiet and private.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was so comfortable that we were tempted to spend more time there than usual.

Ports of call

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Great relaxation spot.
Don't Miss: Snorkling!!!

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Take a water taxi over to Atlantis and see the aquarium, or wander the downtown shopping area. Or... historic sites, or head over the Fish Fry for conch salad, conch fritters, cracked conch. There is always something fun to do in "Funky Nassau."
Don't Miss: Just take several cruises there so you have a chance to do it all.

Pros: Crew and food

Cons: My pillow - not soft; and that's my only comment! And, if I'd asked, they would have brought one.
