A pleasant way to spend a week. by BillP13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

To begin with it is with disappointment that we found out that this ship will be moving to Europe some time after the first of the year. There is no specific ship taking its place. We miss the Monarch which sailed from the same port. This is the second time we have sail on the Mariner of the seas and we will be going again in August. I like the ports which include Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. I think Mazatlan is the weakest of the three. I believe that it would be hard not to have a good time cruising. Be sure to visit Johnnie Rockets. I think the food, service and entertaining wait staff are worth the time. The ships shop seams a bit under stocked.

A disappointment by AliceL4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

The ship was beautiful and the facilities were fine. The best thing was the Ice Skating show. What a wonderful presentation that was. The best thing on the ship. Captain was first rate. The food was a disappointment. Never hot and several things not worth eating in the dining room. The snacks in the Promenade were very good. The buffet better than the dining room.

A great time! by HolliH1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

My first time on Royal Carribean. Definately my new cruise line. Food was good, wait staff very friendy and attentive. Rooms were a bit small, but workable (I wonder how a larger person would fit in the shower?). Overall very relaxing. The ship is beautiful, well laid out and clean at all times.

A very good Cruise by DorisP4657004

The Ship was great. It navigated beautifully although the Ocean was extremely calm so I could not gage it in rough weather.

Ship is very nice- beautiful, large, lots to see, etc. Staterooms seemed spacious (cruise cabin standards) with good use of space.

the cruise was "ok" by ChristineT4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

While the cruise was relaxing it was a bit frustrating when we called to confirm our reservations for dinner the first night and they didn't have our reservations. Also, when we showed up at the spa for our appointments we were not on the schedule for that nor were our other planned appointments on the schedule so we had to reschedule all of our spa appointments and neither the spa nor the concierge took responsibility for the "mistake" they both took pride in blaming each other for the mistake but yet never righted the situation.

A wonderful cruise, beautiful ship! by JoseG80745778

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

We just had the opportunity to take a cruise for the second time. We were taking our son for his High School graduation trip and wanted for him to have an incredible time. This trip ended up meeting all of our expectations and he came back with many wonderful memories that will last a life time. The ship "Mariner of the Seas" is an impressive floating hotel, It reminded of of Las Vegas in many ways. the accommodations were great, the attention to details were fantastic

Avoid Mexico in Summer by PhyllisS5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

The ship was very beautiful and well-maintained. We felt the food was inferior to that which we've had on other cruises, except for the specialty restaurants, which were excellent. However, one shouldn't have to spend an additional amount of money to get good food. We are seniors and felt the facilities were geared to those younger - lots of sports activities but no specialty coffee bar, for example. Also the entertainment was geared more to the younger set. No classical music anywhere, which we had encountered on Celebrity's Constellation.and loved.

An enjoyable cruise by ErnieM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

Very nice and large cruise ship. Friendly and helpful staff; We dined at the Portofino restaurant and had seafood; We liked the 12th deck, which had a walking track and gave us good walking exercise. Also enjoyed the 14th deck with the Ellington night club lounge - great view of the sea and sky. Overall entertainment was very good, with the Beetles singing the popular songs; enjoyed cruiser karioeki's participation. Can use some help using the signs "Fwd" and "Aft" on each deck floor with big letters on all four sides.

Excellent food and service cruise. by JesseP

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

Very clean ship with excellent food and room service. Great music for 7 day cruise BUT wrong time to travel to Mexico with 16 years olds drinking and running around the ship I would go on another cruise when the students are in school. The photo service is way way over price. But overall it was a nice 7 day cruise.

Fabulous Mariner Mexican Cruise by ChristieS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

Embarkation was very easy. Got to the port at 11:10am, gave luggage & $15 bucks to porter. Only 2 people ahead of us in line and went very quickly to check in and started up to the ship. The photo line was the longest line, about 15 mins. We were up in the Windjammer by 11:50am having lunch. Embarkation was even easier, luggage was there waiting for us even though was weren't schedule to be off the ship for 40 more minutes.

Fantastic!! by HoracioL

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

We had a fantastic time on the Mariner of the Seas! From room service to Chops restaurant. Everything was wonderful. The ship was clean the rooms were great and the food was delicious. Chops restaurant was amazing. I would compare Chops to Morton's Steak House. The only part I didn't like was one of the ports...Mazatlan. Other than that I would recommend Mariner of the Seas to all my family and friends.

The ship is gorgeous! Very well appointed. Loved the "promenade". Would have liked a bigger adult pool but can't really complain.

Great Cruise for the Price! by JanaeaN

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Mexico

The food was great, although there could be more choices at the dining room for lunch. The waiters seemed to step it up closer towards tipping-time, not the entire time. The pools were wonderful and all of the staff was absolutely great! The shows were good as well, a little cheesy at times, but that's expected. But it was very crowded, the workers kept showing off about how "big and great" the ship was, which it was but it was a bit too big, it was completely full and more often than not, there were lines you had to wait in for service.
